Why are you asking him questions as if he knows something?

Because I have no idea whether he actually does or not? 🤷‍♂️. I've been on the forum for years and I know that he used to get info about the new kits so it's not impossible that he may have information?

Nope. Because I already know what you'll tell me.
I picked my best team based on us signing Benrahma and it doesn't include El Ghazi.

More than happy to see El Ghazi in the team though because if he is, it will mean he is having a fantastic season.

Couldn't agree more with this. For me, there is no doubt that Benrahma is a far more developed/talented player than El Ghazi. El Ghazi will be a great rotation option.

Based on this Delphino have you heard that we are close to Benrahma? He's the one I've really wanted all along.

Whilst we have these glasses off.. If they are looking to replace Kalinic already, perhaps they should have done a bit more homework before handing out a massive 5 year contract to him. It's the only questionable thing they've done so far though

100%. I completely agree with this. I saw people on Twitter taking the piss out of Kalinic yesterday in a video of Wesley scoring a hat-trick past him. The same person signed them both 😂! They made it sound as though it's a new regime signing Wesley.

I hope our scouting team do more research this summer than they did on him in January. Although, I have looked at all of the signings made from each of Suso's clubs whilst he's been Sporting Director (You can do that by checking all of the clubs he's been at and in's and out during that time) and he has made more stinkers than successes.

  4. Personally, I would much rather us sign Butland than a foreign keeper. Goalkeeper is going to be vital for us next season and Butland would settle in straight away and is much less of a risk that spending £15m on a Spanish/ Portuguese keeper etc.

Does '2 wingers' include El Ghazi as one of them?

No, not for me it doesn't. We've only got El Ghazi who is a competent winger at this level, Green is miles off the pace and I think Jota will be used more as a back up for Grealish. We need another starting winger and somebody who can rotate/come off the bench and actually make a difference.

If we start the season with El Ghazi and only sign one other winger then we're in big trouble imo.

    IN: Phillips, Mings, Targett, Butland.

Then we still need another wide man plus 2 strikers.

Percy mentioned we're still looking at 6 or 7 as well as Butland, Jota, El Ghazi and Hause so can see it happening.

Would still love us to sign a striker like Gomez (unlikely) plus a trickier striker like Maupay, but can't see that happening sadly.

I can't be the only one thinking (in addition to Mings and Hause), we need to bring in a top quality CB to play on the right hand side?

For me, Goalkeeper, Left Back, 3 CB (including Mings and Hause), 1 CDM, 2 Wingers and 2 Strikers? That's ten as a minimum for me. Does anybody think we would be okay with less than that?

Doubt that's his link, not even in the same part of a very long article.Don't think he's that daft!

I think you're missing the point I was trying to make but never mind. Maybe I am taking it a little serious, I just find it crazy how many people are completely gullible and don't do their own research.

I hope we sign players of this ilk as much as anybody trust me! Still desperately hoping something there is something to the Maxi Gomez link!

I actually think that is coincidence - they mention Villa when talking about Tomori and the play-off final.

Thats the exact point. The guy has 100% seen him in the same article as Villa, in a foreign paper, and just made up that the two are associated even though the article mentions us and Fornals in isolation.....

Well, only guessing, but the Agent part may have something to do with it, but as i said, only guessing!!

But this is flawed thinking, all of the players would need to have the same agent. I'm not sure we've signed many Spanish players recently? I certainly doubt he has the same agent as Glenn Whelan either.

He actually has a very good record if you check. One of the more reliable ITK's

But when you say he's 'one of the more reliable'. Who can he possibly be? Only senior staff would know this information and the account is years old, so they would have had to survive the takeover too.

But this is kind of my point as to why the wealth of the owners may become irrelevant. Every club in the top flight can now spend big because of Tv money. But the top 5 or 6 can spend even more. It’s probably the same calibte of players being bought by most its just everything has been inflated.

I really hope im wrong but I don’t think having the second or third richest owners in the league matters that much anymore. It would have around 10 years ago.

I understand your point but don't completely agree. The first big advantage we're going to (hopefully) see of having super rich owners is that we have money to spend without having to firstly establish ourselves in the league for a year or two first. I can't see Norwich or Sheff Utd being able to do this.

The rest is a mystery I guess but history suggests that club with rich owners spend more than those who don't have rich owners.
