  1. I don't think that we should now believe that there isn't a problem with the current management setup after one good result. To their credit, it was a good line-up and the players did play their heart out with some passion today: but yet there were MANY things which still leave me totally disenchanted by Le Equipe Houiller

    1. Passion on the bench - Houiller and the others on the bench week in, week out are utterly silent whether we'd be performing terribly or quite bad referee situations, the management are truly uninspiring and look to have no fight whatsoever; this doesn't help a football team! Also Lerner celebrated wildly today when we got the 3-3; Houiller just sat there like a couch potato. There is no desire to be there!

    2. Lack of initiative - Today is a true example of this; We had SEVEN PLAYERS on yellow cards and we were on the full defensive and having to be cautious about tackles; two subs (and yes, there were good subs that could've been made) with 15-20mins to go in order to get the number of players on cards down would've changed how we were playing the game immensely!

    3. Rift with the players - Lets not beat around the bush here - there's an obvious rift with manager and his players. Theres no pitch interaction, players are being dropped without any injury reason and our starting XI and/or subs bench quality really does plummet as a direct result. The players will not and have not responded well and a change is required.

    4. Transfer window ambition - It's been said today that Hou is going to sit back until his future is confirmed until even starting with plans to bring in well needed recruits in January. This is wasted time at a crucial stage - we cannot depend on our youth system for almost a half of our squad at times, it makes for an unbalanced squad and quality is needed!!!

And for those who will now ask 'Well it's all fair an well saying you want Hou out, but who would come in?'

    Big Sam

    Chris Houghton (sp?)

Roy Hodgson in a few weeks time

amongst rather a lot of other quality managers are currently unemployed, now is the ideal time to get in a quality replacement!!

  2. Blackburn for me;

I'm only 17 and therefore was only a little 'un when Tranmere was around but after watching both legs on videos (without knowing the scores beforehand) I would say that Blackburn edges it for me purely on atmosphere and entertainment value of the game.

But then again, i'd be baised, I went to see the Blackburn game XD

  3. For an anti-blues song

Taken from what the baggies sing to the wolves

When I was young and I had no sense

I bought a blues shirt for 20 pence

And the only thing that I used it for

Was to wipe my arse and the kitchen floor

Coz we hate the blues scum the dirty blues scum

We hate the blue scum the dirty blues scum

  4. Genral, I have a small problem;

The Portsmouth game has been classed as a Villa Value game on the offical site and I rang the site on how U16's can be only £1 as advertised on all the seating plan's.

I rang Consumer sales and they informed me that its actually a Category B but its still on the site as a VV game.

Could you please tell me the situation of what type of game it is and how to get U16's for only a £1 as I would like my mom, dad and 3 brothers to come down with me.

    Thanks

  5. General - what is the rule on away tickets?

Are we allowed to give certain clubs less tickets than others?

Are we allowed to give NO tickets to certain clubs?

I can answer this one; We must allow the away side to have 5% (2,100) upon first allocation then increase it to 10% maximum (4,200) No exceptions to rule

honestly, it isn't, Josh. I have spoken to various clubs and the premier league about this, and it's as I wrote above. Blandy

  6. Yeah same as below I believe that bringing the FA Cup back to Villa Park should be a main goal this season, we have the talent to do it and I'd love it for everyone to get involved to bring it back! Also General I could'nt help but notice the poor attendance against Leicester and I believe that this might have been due to prices? My dad was put off at having to pay £20 to see Leicester on a cold Wednesday night! Maybe if Prices were brought down to just £5 Kids and £10 Adults then maybe a sell-out would happen for every upcoming cup-tie

  7. General krulak here:

Back to some answers I owe you all:

    1. Re the fan who mentioned no hot food before kick-off: I checked with Alison and she indicated that every Club kiosk had hot food. She wanted to know if this might have been a stand outside of the grounds.

Hi General, and thanks for looking into this.

It was not an outside stand, it was inside the north stand.

    Hope this helps.

Just to help you out there mate, and maybe this releases a bit of stress of the General having to contact people to find the answer to this. The North Stand kiosks were selling hot food until about 5 minutes 'til Kick-Off as my friend arrived that time and couldn't get food wheras i came 10 minutes beforehand and got some :D hope this Helps

  8. Gen

You'll think this is wierd I reckon.

On the subject of balloons etc..

One of the other things that used to look superb in those days which died out was the throwing of toilet rolls !!

You hold on to one end - chuck the roll and it streams out like a giant party popper.

Every ground used to do it but I think it was banned coz people were nicking the rolls out of the loos.

If we brought our own - can we bring them in to chuck em - or will they be confiscated

Id further this suggestion with the possible selling of claret rolls and sky blue rolls???

  9. PopeJosh believes that Corscombe_Villa doesn't understand the concept of lingual connotations and should go back to school and re-do English Lit + Lang!!!!

And General, i know that you have said that the question about free shirt printing for season ticket holders has been answered before but i cannot seem to find it, could you please tell me what is the stance on this, or anyone else?

  10. BILLIONAIRE listen I will say it again BILLIONAIRE

He will not let us down.

We are FICKLE but he must not pander to the FICKLE.

    5 year plan

Keep the Faith in Randy and MON

He's not a Billionaire in English money.

Even if he was, it relied on the manager to actualy spend some of it.

    No your right

    He's a THOUSAND MILLIONAIRE!!!!!!

  11. I PopeJosh the Nineteenth sign this with full optimism and hope!

    1. Martin O'Neill is a sensational manager

    2. We have been UNBEATEN in all matches for 11 games

    3. We have done extraordinary things such as beaten Internazionale 3-0

    4. The transfer window has not shut

    5. We're in the bidding for lots of people and MON does things in the market that we are unaware about

    6. Optimism is SKY HIGH at VP atm!

    7. Villa look likely to book a ticket to Europe next year

    8. Although quantity isnt on our side, Quality sure is :D

    9. Because im a TRUE THICK AND THIN VILLIAN!

    10. I believed through the Ellis era that we could do something good so I think that I have a better chance believing in RL

    11. The board interacts with us (General is a legend)

The list could actually go on to about 82 reasons ;)
