RichardEarlier in the summer we had a huge week. This , for me, is another hugely important week in the future of this club
Last time you predicted a huge week, we had a huge week. We need a huge week this week, but do you believe it will be a huge week?

Rudy drinking Red Bull
That's how he does it.

I'm not concerned over a buy back clause as long as it ensures a profit.
Barcelona would not be allowed to buy him back and then resell immediately.
And to be honest if in 2 or 3 years he was good enough to play for Barcelona first team we wouldn't be holding on to him anyway.
Going to enjoy watching him...
-
CB next then maybe a keeper.
Any thoughts on who is in the frame?
-
Great News Westy...
-
Cant wait to see him in our claret and Blue.
Do you think he knows we beat Barcelona the last time we played them 3-0
-
I think Man City looked strong last night and could take us all the way to May....
-
I hope he signs for the Villa, but to be honest I hope he signs for someone so we can move forward...

This..I thought it was a real baptism yesterday against a team known for their high intensity pressing game. Just seeing how little time you get on the ball would have been a great eye opener.
He clearly loves to put his foot on the ball and find the best option so once he gets used to the pace of things he will be invaluable I think.
-
Strong in possession, Good tackler, good passer, got forward well, tracked back well, had a good effort on goal, not scared to shoot. What's not to like?
Totally agree, also tackles fairly unlike Delph.

Solid and a lot of heart.

This is how I see it I'm afraid.I think hes gonna pull off some great saves this season but hes going to cost us a number of points through poor decision making/distribution. Just dont feel as comfortable with him as I once did
If he is the keeper then I will support him, but it will have been a missed opportunity by Tim.

Class.
Not going to see many crosses coming in from the left side.
Great in attack, good vision, important interceptions, quick..
-
Decision is made
He is now OUR captain.
Let's give him a chance and get behind him.
-
So excited about the game today.
Tim has options and team selection will I feel surprise people.
Can't wait to hear it on talk sport..

Guyyyys, come on. He's going to Stoke. Its basically a done deal.
We are probably looking at other players - or at least I hope we are.
What makes you say that?
What evidence do you have to support this statement?
-
From a negotiation strategy perspective you would always leave the preferred location to last.
I think it's positive he is coming to us after seeing Stoke.

Gueye and Amarvi seem to already look comfortable in a villa shirt.Out of all the signings this gueye seems the most ready to play premier league football.
Hopefully others will follow soon after. #excited.
-
Hope he has done enough in training to give him a start on Saturday.
Like to see him playing along side Ayew with Amarvi banging balls into the box to him.

Some a##hole on talksport yesterday lunchtime spoke about villas transfer so far.
He mentioned how villa fans can expect to have a worst season coming up than last season due to losing our leading goalscorer, our captain and our best defender, i dont think he realized how much of a sicknote Vlaar was.
Then he went on about how Richards was crazy for coming to us instead on Inter and why would Berbatov want to come to us as well making out like it would be a bad decision.
The moose said something similar on Talkshite.
He is a delusional hammers fan, who knows very little about our club or in fact football.

Totally agree with this.I know it was his first season and it was good debut season for somebody who was thrown in relegation battle at a young age...but i feel he played it far far far too safe when he had the ball last season. I dont think he was as impressive as people make him out to be here. I think his passing stat kind of shows that aswell. He got us a lot of fouls but there were so many times where he could have been more direct/threatening but he just decided to cut back and play a 5 yard pass. Feel like it was missing quite a bit but sure it will change this season as experience/confidence grows/playing with better midfield
Sure he will have an awesome season for us but i dont want him to be first name on the teamsheet every week. Please dont burn him out/destroy his confidence like united did with janauzaj. Manage him right and he will be awesome. (Although he does seem the type to not give a shit but still rather not risk it)
I think he will learn from the French contingent who appear to be more attack minded.
Need more forward passes, killer passes and would like to say more attempts on goal.
Still think he has a great future and will grow into his role this season.

Liked what he had to say. Seems to be a straight forward, intelligent man.
i feel the right structure and winning culture is being built for the club
