  1. Went to Rococco for the Lpool game and then at 2:59 Chelski v Wigan was on - there's been a massive clampdown on the 3pm Sat Kick offs - apparently the satellitte companies have lost match choice and can only show 1 foreign game now - which doesnt bode well. That's why Rococco is tbc - I'd check 100% before setting off as loads of pubs that used to show then now simply can't - if anyone know's for definite anywhere in Bham please post - I'm still hoping for Rococco.........cant b waiting for the scores on Soccer Saturday!

  2. (1) We sign him on a broken leg - have faith in him - pay his wages for approx 6 months when he's sitting on his arse INJURED and then he takes about 6 months to get proper match fit.

    (2) He has ONE good season - WOW

    (3) If he doesnt like it, hand in a transfer request but he wont because he then has to forgo bonuses etc - wot a coward

    (4) "I want to go to a Champions League club" - last time I checked Lplop weren't in it.

I think when he goes, I will not have despised a player leaving Villa for many many a year - absolute grade one tool / turncoat. Hope he breaks his other leg the day he signs for em. At least Ash gave us good service and left in the right manner - Downing your an absolute w****r!!!

  3. Looking at the foreign schedules I would say there is more than a 50% chance of the game being on, but not sure if the likes of Rococco et all will be able to pick it up - doesnt look like on the main Canal + - if anyone works in town, going by, can they see if advertised and let us know :winkold:

  4. It's listed on all the main foreign channels so am assuming the normal places. Will go to Rococco - as it's the first Sat 3pm away game this season, assume they are still showin all the games - if anyone walking by there can confirm that would be appreciated! :winkold:

  5. Hi General,

Just got back from the game - a good professional performance I thought and great goal from Gabby. One gripe though if I may!

Me and 2 mates went to go into the Holte Suite before the game (we were running late) and didn't get there till 2.30pm and it was full so couldn't get in - fair enough. The steward suggested we try the David Tagert Suite in the Doug Ellis Stand so we popped down there and got in, at about 2.35pm. First time I've been in there (and will probably be the last I'm sad to say). Went to the queue at the bar and got served 45 MINUTES later after getting in, and it wasn't even busy! Only I would guess 15 people in front of us but there was just ONE person serving drinks and very slowly. They said there was a problem with the pumps (fair enough) and things were slow but people were amazed by the lack of people behind the bar. Not the bartenders fault but surely whoever does the planning. Surely matchday you have at least 5-6 people serving - it's not a massive bar and to just have one is a joke. Understandably people were getting frustrated and had no choice but to get double/triple rounds at a time because there was no way once you'd been served you were getting another one. At the end of the day it must have cost the club a few bob and frustrated the hell out of everyone. 4-5 more people (maybe ten quid an hr) wont break the bank and all we want is efficient service! Rant over, thanks and as said at the start a great result - bring on the Bloose!

  6. General,

Everything MON has done so far I would say fair play - you cannot question, but I am disappointed with the squad for Moscow - it's just begs the following questions?

    1) Why put out a full strength team in the first leg when we're not bothered about qualifying?

    2) Why start in July in the Intertoto when we don't care for the latter stages?

    3) Why produce "special programmes" for games, making us feel like we're really going for it and then don't bother?

    4) Why advertise left right and centre, encourage a big crowd for the home game and then don't bother?

  7. General,

Just wanted to echo Dave's sentiments re tickets. Myself and 3 friends have already booked 4 flights from Stanstead (couldn't get Bham flights) to Prague and cost us £130 return. Hotels cost us £20 each per night for 2 nights which I think is an absolute bargain. So we're all booked (less tickets) as we can afford about £200, not the prices that the official party are quoting and I think you will find 90% of people have booked independently due to the cost factor. All we are asking for is a fair crack on the tickets otherwise we will obviously have no option to either pay over the odds in Prague or go in the home end which is isn't ideal. At the end of the day we really wanted to go and can't wait so I hope the ticket allocation (I know numbers may be out of your hands) but the distrubtion, ie Season Ticket holders first has got to be a must, is fair. Looking forward to an eventful 2 days in Prague following our great club - at the end of the day that's what it's all about - having a good time.

    Up the Villa.

  8. General,

Just a point about the season ticket sales. I know that you plan to cap them at 27,000 and I just think that this is a bit too low. if we can sell say 35,000 why not do it? It would still leave 4,000 every game (excluding the away allocation) for people who cant make every game and we would be guaranteed a sell out EVERY game. If we only cap at 27,000 then for example if we have Wigan at home the Saturday before Xmas I would imagine (like Portsmouth around the same time last year) they'll will be 8-10.000 empty seats that no one likes to see. I will be renewing mine next week, but a couple of friends who want to come down now have to wait on the waiting list.

They want to commit for the revolution but I get the feeling if they can't get a season ticket, they will miss the odd game here and there which may mean empty seats for games that wont sell out which would be a shame. I understand your feelings on that tickets are to be made available on the day for fans that cant afford a season ticket but if you've got people willing to put money up front, surely it makes sense to "have them on board". Maybe you could look at increasing the season ticket limit upto the 30-32,000 region?

Please dont take this as a moan because everything you have done so far has been great and I want as many people to join us as possible. WE WANT NO EMPTY SEATS - EVEN ON A COLD WINTERS DAY :P
