Anyone any idea what the snows been like in Europe recently? Some of my friends have said they've heard it's been pretty poor.
It's snowing heavy as I look out of the window ! It's been a good start to the season considering , the only problem we've had is all the heavy snowfalls have been followed by a rise in temperature resulting in heavy rain which has trashed the runs into resort. That said there is at least a 1 metre base up top and conditions are excellent , from what i've heard Soll is the same (its only 25 mins away) ... hope that helps .....

there is a team that we all know that come from birmingham
they were in the premier league til they played tottenham
pav scored in the final minute, the referee blew up
and now those blues and white bastards are in division 1
and now those blue nose bastards are drinking fizzy pop

Quite tempted to post the wrist watch and euro coin that was thrown at me during the game in vienna back to the Villa Park so they can return it with my grattitude ... jerks

I was in the villa section and received a 2 euro coin to the head aswell as some tit throwing his watch at me !!! My Rapid friends are disgusted and embarrassed at the treated of Weimann . they have stopped going to regular games due to the twatish behaviour of the said Ultras ... knobs

Hi General,
Just got back from the Vienna game, shame about the result but sure we can turn it around next week. I would just like to thank yourself for putting me in touch with Nicky Keye. She and Tina Williams in the ticket office were fantastic answering my questions and sorting me a ticket out for the Villa end last night. Picked it up at the stadium with no hassles. Am quite sure other clubs wouldn't have gone to such lengths to please 1 fan.
Thanks Again UTV

Well i'm quietly confident, watched a few of their games on Austrian TV and they have been shaky, if we can find some of the excellent counter attack football we showed during the early part of last season we should win this by a couple of goals (just hope our) defence holds .
Managed to get a ticket via the club and will be collecting at the stadium. The club and ticket office have been fantastic in organising this and i will be letting The General know (as he helped in the first place).
Supporting Villa for 30 years this is the first away european game i have been able to go to, so i am more than excited, hope its a good game with great villa support.
Will cheer the boys on for you that can't go.

Fly to Salzburg (another great city) and get the train/drive?
Not too much drama that ... 30 mins by tram/bus in to the main train station from airport, then about 2.5/3 hours by train to Vienna (depending on stops) .. will probably cost around the 30 euro mark

Hi General, I am a ex-pat Villa fan living in the beautiful alpen town of Kitzbuhel Austria, I was delighted when we drew Rapid Vienna in the EL as it is only a 4 hour train journey to the capital. I would love the chance to go and cheer the boys on so my question is this. Is there a way to purchase a ticket for the Villa end from the AVFC ticket office from out here, I don't have a season ticket and appreciate there will be limited tickets ( and i would hate to deny a regular fan the opportunity) ? Would be gutted to miss the chance of seeing the boys in a country i have lived in for the last 8 years. Any info would be greatly received. Thought it was worth the question !
Thankyou for everything yourself and Randy have done for our magnificent club .. UTV

How about a song for Martin Laursen; to the tune of We're The Monkeys:
Here he comes,
Striding from the back,
It’s Martin Laursen,
Joining the attack.
Wa’hey it’s a set piece
Ashley young (or Gareth Barry) is on the ball,
Nothing you can do about it Laursens gonna score a goal.
And the chorous
Hey, Hey It's Mart Laursen
And he's not messing around
But we're too busy laughing
Cos you've gone 1-0 down.... (apply whatever score)
A tad complex perhaps.
Nope, i'll get me coat ...

Champions League Final: Bayern Munich vs Chelsea
in Other Football
Posted
There are lots of Bayern fans here in Kitzbuhel (Munich less than 2 hours away) many are the "glory hunting" type and i've seen at least 10 shirts already today ! The local pub will be rammed with them today ......
i also don't want Chelsea to join our elite club , that said the Plastich Fans will be equally annoying .....
Either way i will be wearing the 82 winners top as a little reminder to those Munich fans why they will be starting the game with 4 stars on their shirt ... not 5
