  1. as an American visiting, the thoughts about there not being bad seats are true...it really is a beautiful ground.  We got tickets through a supporters club here in Cleveland and they were waiting for us in Will-Call.  what a great day

  2. Your biggest issue will be gettin a ticket or two if your bird wants to go to, as above you should speak to the ticket office first, they should point you in the right direction.

And by choosing to support the villa you have let yourself into a lifetime of disapointment, anger, pain. But you will love every mintute.

I am familiar with disappointment, i'm from Cleveland...

    just read this

  3. thanks for the replies,

we will be getting in on November 22 and leaving for Brussels  the 27th or 28th.

at the man u match i was at, a man u fan was able to stay quiet until about the 84th minute (pretty soon after man u pulled level) and was escorted out, i wish that happened here in the states more, we're just told we have to be nice to opposing fans.

  4. Hello

I'm dave, i post on occasion, i'm from Cleveland, Ohio USA and i am an adopted Villa fan thanks to Mr. Lerner.  I attended a match at Villa Park in November 2010, (vs Man U, a 2-2 draw)

And i loved it.  It was an FA cup weekend that 2nd time that i visited England and only could take the Villa Park tour that time.  Well, my wife and i are planning to come to England again this fall, and it is around the American thanksgiving holiday, which would put us in line to go to a match on the 23rd, which is away at West Brom.  I'd love to go, but as it is a darby match, and i've only been to one match at Villa park is it something i can/should do?  I understand restrictions on opposing team colors outside of the supporters section, but if i kept things low key could i sit in the general area of the stadium if i kept quiet?

Don't want to cause trouble, but would hate to miss a chance to see villa play, especially after i heard the news about Benteke today.  Saw him play for Belgium vs. the US in Cleveland this year, and i'm so excited he chose to stay.

Anyway, let me know what i should know, and if you think this is a good idea or not.

And as an aside, i just got confirmation to my tickets with the American Outlaws to see the USA take on our big rivals Mexico in Crew Stadium in Columbus in september...and i get goosebumps just thinking about it.

  5. Hey guys,

thanks for the tips on gettting to the game, i did get tickets through the central ohio lions club, and i had a wonderful time. great game, wish the result would have been 3-2, but what can you do.

and i think my wife is a closet footie fan, because without being told she cheered, gasped, yelled and sighed at the right times!

here are the pics i got. i also have a video of the PK, but as soon as the ball hits the net, i accidentally hit the off button on my camera so i missed the crowd going wild.

my wife is still working in london for awhile and i will have at least one more trip...possibly in January...what do you think, traveling away fan for the 2nd city derby?!

  6. So it looks like this has opened up from Season Ticket holders only to now people with booking history can buy tickets.

I'm new to this kind of thing, a couple of people have offered to let me use their booking history, how would i do this? log into your account?

i'm looking into a few more of the supporters club options before i go this route, i wish they would just sell me 2 damn tickets!

  7. i sent an email to the club as well as a few other PMs here, hopefully someone can come thru for me, i'm excited. I guess the office my wife is working in is split half and half Arsenal and Chelsea so her day today might be a bit interesting

  8. Hey all,

Long time reader, some time poster from the States here. Happy to say my wife is heading to London for work a couple of time over the next few months, and that i will get to take a trip to England myself. I am planning to come on around Nov. 11 and i just looked and saw that the 13th was the home match against ManU. I'd like to get a chance at my first live villa match, but i have no idea how ticketing works against the bigger clubs.

My simple plan of taking the train up to birmingham and wandering to villa park might not be enough, can anyone help me with any match-day details or where i could get 2 tickets to the match?
