  1. ive always thought curtis davies had the potential to be a decent defender after tonight i dont think he has the potential to clean the VP toilets **** off back to the hawthorns on a nominal fee.

I have to agree, waste of money Mr O’Neill!

  2. In no way is this one of those I'm a better fan than you threads. I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I can get to follow the team in Europe. But on Thursday night there were less than 200 fans in the away section. Just with those I met, that included 2 fans of other teams, enjoying the experience, 2 who came from Barcelone, 2 from Hungary, 1 from Austria, 1 from somewhere in Eastern Europe(didn't recognise the accent) and 1 who had accompanied her boyfriend for a shopping trip. Now for a club which averages nearly 40,000 each home game, that is a poor turnout in my view. Talking to the Rapid fans, Liverpool took over 1000 for a pre-season friendly. Now Vienna is a beautiful city, hardly in an inaccessble location like Turkestan or Iceland, so why the apathy?

Me and my other Villa mate should have been in Villa but we could not buy a ticket! I do live about 80 miles away from Wien in the Czech Republic. I wrote an email to Villa Ticket Office to get a ticket but I had no reply. Classy way how to treat fans from abroad... :(

"1 from somewhere in Eastern Europe(didn't recognise the accent)" - this could be my mate, I visited Rapid last year with him!

  3. Here a statement from rapid to yesterdays shameful incidents.

    http://www.skrapid.at/9610+M542f87c0a35.html

The club deeply apologises Andreas Weimann, his family and Aston Villa. There will be consequences for those who are responsible for these actions. He have cameras in the stadium and when the idiots are identified, they will be banned from the pitch.

Nice gesture and I do hope animals will be punished!

  4. Was it only a week ago that people on here were going on about what a great bunch of fans Rapid had? Looking forward to seeing them at VP, etc., etc.

    How quickly things change.

I visited the match in Wien last year. Walking from the train station to the stadium with my mate in Villa shirt through the hundreds of home fans and we had no problem with Rapid fans! We have met bunch of Rapid fans in the pub after the match and it was a great time drinking some beers with them. I should have been in Wien yesterday (like my mate) but I could not get a ticket...

This year it looks like the opposite scenario to me.

As I've mentioned before when I was in Vienna last year after the game I was spat at. They are great fans in terms of creating an atmosphere but there's a significant proportion of them who aren't particularly pleasant.

It is really pitty! Idiots among fans are in every team :?

  6. Back on-topic but I feel for the lad as looked like his breakthrough year and he would have got a few games in cups and league and now he will be out for a while now

Yes, he was quite excited before the match! And pretty much disappointed while been moved away on the stretcher.

  7. From SkySports:

When asked what he was hit by, Guzan told Sky Sports News: "A couple of beers, some water and lighters.

"You don't like to see it anywhere in football. I'm sure Uefa officials were at the game and will look into it.

"The fans here create a good atmosphere. We knew it would be a tough game.

"We'll take the 1-1 result. This is a result we will be happy to take back to Villa Park."

    They wasted beer? rocket polishers!

I tasted this beer last year. They have their special own kind of non alcoholic beer which tastes like horse shit! I am not surprised they dont drink it but throw it away :D

  9. What about the Hitler inbreds that threw water over him as he was beimg stretchered off,

by fans of the club his family supports.

It wasnt water but non alcoholic shitty beer of their own. Rapid Ultras behaved like bunch of rocket polishers!
