I am also certain the deal is going to be completed and sooner rather than later because of the interview Ellis did last week. He said that the takeover would take weeks rather than months which hopefully means we wont be waiting till late september

I think Ellis has been a shit chairman but what I will say is im starting to feel slightly sorry for the guy, We can all sit here and say the guys a prick but he is a big Villa fan whether we like it or not and if you were the chairman of a club you loved, it would be hard to leave , yeah hes a shit chairman etc but I do feel sorry for him now because it seems as if he is going to leave but hes getting slagged off by more or less everyone thats gotta be hard

Everyones getting excited about O Neil being appointed today , it would be great if he does but im not getting excited until it happens, the Birmingham Mail was saying hed be appointed Tuesday just gone and it never happened but lets hope it does

I am getting really fed up of all this takeover talk as there seems to be no progress being made, surely Rotchilds should put a deadline on when the bids need to be made, because its all well and good saying people are intersted but weve only had 1 bid , if it is just left to drag on we could be entering the new season with no new manager and no takeover whch seems more and more likely, it would be nice to have a deadline made then assess the bids made n choose the best option which would give us time to sign a new manager aswell as players

if they were linked to lerner then why would they be looking around bodymoor, didnt lerner do that himself last week?

Dosent mean they are not linked to Lerner from what ive heard they were there today to take one final look around the place and check the books before putting in bid

I dont believe its a fifth bid either it seems a bit of a coinsedence to have to americam bidders , and SSN are saying they are not linked to Lerner but they dont know that for certain

if what I heard from Morley is correct they were Lerners men and not a fifth bidder

Well I spoke to Tony Morley earlier and like i say i am unsure of whether the info he gave me is true , he said that he has sources close to villa which have told him that Lerner has looked through the books etc n agreed a deal with ellis for the club with the appointment of O Neil as manager which will be annoucned on Thursday, but like I say i dont know true this is im not going to get excited about it anyway

Ive been told by Tony Morley that a statement will be released on Thursday stating that the club has been bought by Randy Lerner and that O Neil has been appointed as manager, I dont know how much truth there is in this but I thought I might aswell post the info i was told
