He did that once, an act of revenge after Haaland was sneering at him as he lay on the floor. (Eye for an eye)
In general, his attitude was perfect.
-
but his attitude was wrong when he went on the pitch,
I wish all our players had his attitude. He was win at all costs, never say die, 100% effort. A massive will to win, probably wanted to win more than any other player out there. And then after victories, it wasn't a case of job done...he wanted to move on and continue to be successful.

Roy Keane is a legend.
I really hope he succeeds and I think he will.
-
In my Premiership football career, it happened a few times and they generally scored.
-
Martins is the 55 year old version of Vassell, isn't he?
Although, I never like facing a player on his debut, particularly a striker.
-
I'd say both teams will have debutants for that game and I've gone for a cautious draw.
You think we'll sign somebody tomorrow?
-
nd are poor defensively but have a wealth of attacking options
....they barely have any strikers.

7 points from 9 sounds good.

The club.

that's true DBNO where is MON getting the funds from for the targets he says he is persuing.
Ellis supposedly. According to the financial reports.
-
I think the point is Lee,if we're going to get a few players in before the 31st we need it sorted asap.
Lerner won't spend either way. Didn't O'Neill say Lerner can't do anything until deep into September...by which time it's too late.

Martin Samuel says....
From Fedex Field to the Bank of America Stadium, big business has swallowed American Football.
Candlestick Park famed home of the 49ers and venue of the last Beatles concert is now Monster Park courtesy of sponsors Monster Cable Products Inc.
But Cleveland Browns still play at Cleveland Browns Stadium - meaning Randy Lerner, the franchise owner and soon to be Chairman of Aston Villa, is not a man who stamps on history.
when Lerner told me he would consider a naming rights agreement for villa Park, he did so in the manner of one who was testing the water. If Villa fans strongly oppose, I believe he will abandon it.
But the club is crying out for investment that was absent during Doug Ellis' reign.
Renaming Villa Park is cash for jam, really. A major company pays to attach it's name to the stadium and the fans call it by the old name anyway. Who thinks England play Test cricket at The Brit Oval.
Yes, it would break with tradition to rename Villa Park; but there is a more significant tradition that needs breaking, too: the club that plays there winning nothing each year.
And I completely agree.

Makes me laugh how people call for forward thinking and then start opposing a deal that will bring in massive amounts of money.

It's a reply to some of the posts on here.

I'd like to see us do it.
I'd rather see Villa spending money on new players to play at the Gillette stadium than no new players at Villa Park.
You can get alot of money from it.

Michael Neville (consortium) - 'Lifelong Villa fan'
1% [ 2 ]
Lifelong Villa fan Michael Neville and his ego must have signed up.
-
All Lerner has to do is announce what his projections are for the transfer kitty and all opposition will be in running mode
Wonder if he will.
He'd be stupid to do that.
Ellis was right about one thing, you don't tell your rivals how much money you have.

If AV06 are to bid and have it recommended, does that give Lerner another 10 days to respond?
Or is 23rd August THE day?
-
Not sure. I've read so many pieces regarding this takeover that I forget where each bit of info is from.
-
Are you sure? I always believed it was calander days. I.E. as is the 21 day acceptance period.
Has always been where I work.
I read it was 10 working days.
-
Do they count weekends though when you can bid?
No. So it won't work out like that...
-
BTW jsut did a 30 minutes search on takoevers within the last 18 months I can NOT FIND A SINGLE EXAMPLE of takever that has not happened once the bid has been recommened by the board.
How many of them had multiple consortiums battling for the club?
-
The thing is were talking about "this new bid" , but where is this new bid ???? Its been reported in ONE paper and not even SSN have given it a sniff , says it all really
Well, they have quotes from the consortium, so regardless of media interest, they are going to bid.

The tackle on Haaland was a blot on the copy book.
The rest of the stuff, squaring up to Vieira in the tunnel/Punching Shearer are 'fair' things in my eyes. He's squaring up to guys that can handle themselves.
