Taking everything in to account, this guy sounds like a pretty good signing. In fact, I've had my fill of O'Neill's legacy, and can't wait for our current squad to be dismantled. Looking back at just how much Aston Villa FC have been taken for a ride, by such shambles on ridiculous money, has (along with Man City/Sky TV) just about killed off my love and enthusiasm for the game in general.
No, the more I think about it the more I want more signings like Brett Holman, the club definitely needs more signings like him and maybe, just maybe, we may just have a team that actually wants to play for the club - I just want to see players that want to represent us with pride and passion and signings like Brett will do us no harm whatsoever.
Good signing, well done to all those concerned - welcome Brett.

It's genuine. Read it and then read it again - it's clearly structured in his usual manner. Ah well.

Private Krulak - I'm gonna give you three seconds, exactly three **** seconds, to tell me you're taking the piss or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull **** you!

General - If the next Villa manager is Steve McClaren, I'll finally know what Randy has in store for the club's future. Over the past few years I've become increasingly disillusioned with what the game gives me in terms of a true sporting competitive chance. In terms of honours, being a Villan in the current era offers me a chance of a day out at Wembley and very little else. Under Martin O'Neill that was realised. The club, during his tenure, enjoyed relative success and I was content - for me we was at our level.
I don't have a question for you. I just wanted to make it clear that if Steve McClaren is appointed, that it will finally make my mind up for me. It'll be the end of my love for the beautiful game. Yes, I really am that disillusioned.
Thanks for your time.

Working under the circumstances of the modern game and also taking in to account what he inherited, he's done a decent job.
70-80%
Must try harder.

£11m for SWP? YES!
£10m for YOUNG? YES!
Can we pay £6.5m for Petrov under Ellis than we should be able to pay £11m for SWP under Lerner! Can we pay £9.5m for Angel under Ellis...than we can pay £10m for Young under Lerner!
PAY UP NOW! We desperately need to get this team winning again...
I'm going to hold my hands up now, and offer an apology to avfcinwales . He was saying much the same as in the quote above, a few weeks ago, and the more I stare at it, the more it makes sense.
If we don't pay the extra mill or two, someone else will - apologies extended.

Any new signings need to be ones to make a statement of intent
In addition things have gone a little flat recently, we know it and the club knows it so a new signing needs to be one that re ignites the fan base
Could not agree more.
I'm nearing the point of needing something a little more than enthusiasm - however fickle that may sound.

The all time record of Villa being unbeaten is 18 and 12 in the modern era, put your hearts and souls into it and both records could fall!
5 draws in 7 games and yet to win away in the prem..... we are due a win especially at the Kop
Yeah, that sounds fair enough.
How does it make you feel? (Midlands top teams)
