Old news but… if it’s a choice between this (although I’d prefer darker detailing/contrast on the lion) and the plain yellow drop shadow shit…

then this will have to do

Don’t think we’re going to get anything like what we want…

I was an ardent circular badge advocate and hated the Lerner lion….but, this is actually growing on me. It’s definitely got a 150 years old vibe, speaks to the clubs tradition, doesn’t look similar to another clubs badge and looks classy. I’ll settle for it.

If Kamara magically returned tomorrow you'd have Dougie run the show against Brighton. Absolutely certain of it.

It couldn't be more clear as day that the formation and personnel changing has had a big effect on him and the rest of the team in fact, building out from the back nowhere near what it was pre Kamara injury.

This 👆🏼I'd actually give Tim a go in the Kamara role against Brighton to allow Dougie the chance to redeem himself…

Remembering how low I felt after Mings went off and we lost 5-1 after all the pre season excitement, I was still shell shocked from the news about Emi days earlier. So upsetting seeing Mings in agony from something so innocuouss, I didnt care about the result then, just concerned for him, and our season.

Looking to where we are now is nothing short of incredible, Mings has more than played his part in all of this, in my dreams he, and Emi, come on for the last few minutes vs Liverpool to celebrate a truly incredible season. I know it's not going to happen so soon, but when it does, I think we will raise the roof and then some. Ear plugs needed!

I was literally about to post in this thread that I had dreamt Mings came on for the last few minutes of Liverpool. Also know it’s not going to happen, but was a top dream. Perhaps him and Emi can at least applaud the fans with the rest of the team at the end of the game…

It's really simple and I'm surprised some on here can't grasp this - There is no major downside for us at all.  It makes perfect sense and is the right decision.

Agree with this. I’m going to thoroughly enjoy watching him play for Burnley and hope he tears it up…knowing that he can come back in to the fold if he makes the grade. This isn’t a Gary Cahill situation - don’t think the club would let that happen with Aaron.

Seems like Emery really likes him. If we can sell a few more players and pay 50m, I'm good with that. Remember,  Monchi isn't sentimental about any of our players. Don't be surprised if McGinn or Ramsey are sold sooner rather than later.

McGinn maybe, but I’d be v. v. surprised if Ramsey was sold this season or next…

    For who?

I think he already showed at Swindon he's a capable league 2 player so would imagine his level will eventually be top end league 1, bottom end championship.

Very remote chance he breaks through here now. If Archer with two excellent championship spells and regular goals for the England under 21s still can't quite establish a role here I can't see Barry doing it now.

If Stockport get promoted as looks like wouldn't shock me if they sign him permanently and we just insert a big sell on clause as they have plenty of money for the level they operate.

For him… whether it ultimately means he’ll have a chance at Villa or not I’m unsure - most likely not. But he needs to be playing week in week out for Stockport and scoring goals (or getting assists).  I think the best possible outcome for him (and us) would be that he does enough to secure a loan to a decent Championship side next season, where he does enough again to demand an eight figure fee or a shot at the Villa squad aged 22/23…

  7. I love the new badge. I also think the club could have built a brand around it. It’s frustrating that the new team seemingly don’t agree. I’d prefer it if they could communicate this if it’s the case, but recognise there may be complicating factors. Resolving my frustration will rely on whatever they come up with next being better the current badge (tall order from my perspective).
