  1. I support villa because I accidentally cheered for us in the 94 league cup final in front of my united supporting mates (who I had followed the crowd and was going to support united). Thought united were in claret and blue not yellow and green.

I was 6, and yes that stubborn to save face.

Thanks, helps to get that off my chest.

  2. Adrenalin perhaps got him through the stat of the season (maybe that's a cop out, he obvs scored and assisted).

The part that was concerning last night was his touch under pressure. Was like a brick wall, his turn under pressure was ropey. Decision making was also off. IMO confidence is in the gutter for whatever reason.

Leon (ok he came on as a sub after watching Diaby have a poor game) and turned his man inside out...

Side note (wrong thread) goal(s) even the disallowed would have done Ollie a world of good, soon the same for Diaby too, when it happens.

Best manager in the world for me. Had good resources but nothing compared to City yet went toe to toe with them nearly ever season.

    This for me

I agree with this.  Tammy was brilliant in terms of his goalscoring output at championship level for us, but at every other stage of his career he has been far less prolific.  Also, as you said, he's not got a great all round game in terms of pressing, back-to-goal, link-up play etc. In fact, I'd say he's very similar to Archer albeit more experienced. Good finisher, but doesn't offer much else.

    👆🏻 This for me.

I am interested to see how he does for Sheff... Defo worth a tenner on him scoring against us in either fixture

  5. Sorry if this is off/topic - worng place

£5m would be decent value for everyone really, but he and Okore generally played their best football together and I wouldn't mind seeing them pair up next season.

£5m for Clark? I'd take it.

  7. Club fine. Fitness regime. Don't adhere to it, fine him, warn him (verbally/written etc). Repeat until improvement or enough evidence to terminate contract.

Along with transfer list him as an action taken by the club to protect the club. That's about all that can be done. Although, unfortunately there are bigger things to worry about right now :(

  8. Randy has probably been like this since 2009. MON leaving divides opinions but if he is this short sighted and smashes knee jerk reactions in left, right and centre.... who can blame him for leaving like these guys have....

PS - Don't intend to derail thread!

  9. Really hope Westwood is back soon. I think he is an important player for us. I missed the game and highlights don't give enough indication, but I would have thought cleverley could have taken on the Westwood piece quite easily.... Would have done the same as Paul and played Sanchez although that appears to have been an oversight. Need Westwood back for Chelsea, perhaps 5 at the back would be best if we still don't have VLarr a point would be sufficient
