I'm curious how others will feel if he comes back near the end - let's say a 30-something year old JG with a few CL medals at home. Would you take him back or tell him to piss off?
-
Yeah, he's gone. Meh, we move on.
As much as i don't want to see JG leave, it could be a really good thing for the club. 100MM isn't nothing, and if our recruitment is good we can spin that into 3-4 high quality players then it's a real opportunity to push on and challenge for top 4-6. I'm curious how much of that we have to spend and how much of it the owners consider already spent.

At the very least punt down into the corner. Don't give them the ball on the 25-30
-
Won't be disappointed if we lose a number of these players either this month or in June. My worry is that we will keep the wrong ones.

Watched teenage mutant ninja turtles III yesterday (kids choice). I was a fan of the cartoons as a kid, but I think a little part of me died watching the movie.

Tim wasn't improving though.
We were getting worse and worse.
Under Garde there was definite improvement until today (however small) but even though his hand was forced with injuries/fixtures in quick succession, playing Richardson was stupid and Sinclair urghhhh
This is where I am also. Tim seemed to grasping as straws, drawing lineups from a hat. With Remi, I could see progress in small ways up until today. My best guess is that he felt we needed rotation given two games in three days. Probably overthought it.

That first goal was symptomatic. They get one decent chance and score. I wouldn't have any faith that any of our players would have converted it.
-
Awful. Two wasted hours, there was nothing premier about that. Both sides bad, we were just worse.
-
What pleases me is that our performances are only going to get better as they get used to each other.
1 thing stood out from that game: Ayew is too much like Gabby in playstyle and ability. They occupy the same sort of areas on the pitch, highlighted perfectly by a beautiful Amavi "whipped in" cross .....
... and both ran to the near post. I'd like to see one or the other in the side, not both. And that "one" should be Ayew.
Was thinking this exactly. Completely agree.

I see this one as Fox's selection. It looks like he wanted to get rid of lambo, had Sherwood waiting in the wings but needed to get permission from Randy. After Hull, was given permission and made the switch.
If at all true, it means the next few months will not only tell us about our manager and league future, but likely also whether our CEO is up to the job. Lerner clearly isn't capable (or interested) anymore, so our best hope other than being sold is that Fox is capable of running the club.

I've seen this so many times today I'm actually thing of,getting one.

Welcome Tim!
Not sure how this will go, but with the precious manager we were going down, so at worst it will be the same.

I'm not trying to defend the call, but that's one heck of a play by Butler. He has to read the call, jump the route, make the catch, and then make sure to not step backwards into the end zone. Would rather see the media give more attention to him than just blaming Carroll/OC/whomever.
-
Every time I hear that someone has had a chat with Lerner, I picture a kid hiding in his closet so he can talk to his friends without his parents knowing. Maybe if he eats all his veggies and does his homework, they'll let him take his jet to a game.

Should be a good second half. Winner will be decided by who makes the best adjustments.
Based on history, my money would be on urban Meyer.

Gonna be a long game though. Oregon and that up tempo offense means they are always a threat to score a bunch of points in a hurry
-
OSU suddenly looks like a contender

For the record, I'm rooting for the packers, but I think it will be Seahawks over pats.
-
Nice drive. It was starting to look like a blow out in the making. I feel spoiled after the excellent playoff games this weekend.
-
So what can the third string qb do tonight. He's looked good the first few games, but you have to think he's due for a bad game.
-
Yeah
Really don't want Oregon to win, but it's not looking good

So what's the best game to go to? We live in Boston and been looking at either the Philly or DC match - both relatively easy for travel for us, as being on a Sunday helps. Looking for the best atmosphere and opportunity to bring the family, so I can demonstrate why there's no other choice but to follow the Villa. Was slightly leaning towards Philly v Newcastle because it's later in the day, but DC would be really easy travel. Also very interested in any Villa meet-ups!
Cheers and UTV
