  1. NDINLT, are you Oliver Holt or something? Give it a rest ffs. Have a tug or something and just relax man.

This topic has turned into the remnants of one of Paul Faulkners morning dumps.

I for one think McLeish is a decent man with proven premiership experience, lets just wait and see what happens in the summer once he has a bit of moolah to shape the team to what he wants it to be.

    LOOOOOL.

What proven Premier League experience? Are you THE Paul Faulkner by any chance? And we've seen how he has shaped teams. Rangers got 3rd in the league and SHA got relegated despite having a big net spend.

You dont manage a team for over 90 games in the premiership without learning or picking up experience along the way. Correct me if im wrong but he even won a trophy did he not, how many did MON win again?

He just needs the fans to actually get behind him, get rid of the deadwood, some time to bring in the players he needs and the confidence will improve then the results will surely follow. Im sure lerner - a successful businessman billionaire knows what he is doing.

You should not have posted the Christopher Eccleston gif. :D

  3. We wont go down but to be in the dunces half of the league with this squad (even with its faults) is unacceptable.

6 wins in 24 games is exceptionally shit as is McLeish's 'Premiership experience'.

Dread to think of what his woeful legacy will be after 3 years of his utter sh1te mismanagement.

I never wanted him as manager, don't really want him now either, but his record after same amount of games is better than MON's first season with same amount of games and better than Houllier who had more and better players. He ain't gonna get sacked, so I'll reserve full 100% on him by seeing what he does in the summer or how he starts next season. If he starts signing players like Steven Davis, then he can jog on!

The difference with MON's first season is I was still 100% confident he would keep us up, which he did quite comfortably in the end.

McLeish however is a **** disgrace. Once he's in a relegation battle in this league he cannot get the team out of it. If we are battling this season we're screwed. 100%.

I also don't wanna see McLeish build his own team. He already bought his washed up Spurs reject buddy Hutton for 4m. A complete downgrade from Luke Young and Herd got Man of the Match at RB just before he bought Hutton.

He's actually spent 17m in the Summer window. That's still quite abit for a manager who's had it 'tough'. And did he spent it wisely? **** no he didn't.

If he's given any funds this summer fans should fear his blueprint relegation building. But some fans seem to love it. It's like they're rooting for McLeish to bring us down.

  4. Who gives a **** if lerner has been at BMH? For all the good it will do i may as well have been there regularly over the past couple of weeks. I would be better if the tweet had said mcleish and grant have not been there for two weeks. tinpot managerial team who cause more trouble than their worth.

(That also win trophies at tin pot clubs)

That must mean if he can win trophies at tin pot clubs we should at least be in one cup run here. Oh wait, we're out of both cup runs. He couldn't even defeat Bolton's B team at home. Next excuse please.

But hang on a second...There's still a chance we could be going down the league seeing as McLeish turns to shit (more than usual) at the final third of the season in the league. Even 09/10 (his best season) he was **** rubbish around this period of time.

We could see ourselves at 14th/15th at Sunday (lol, damage limiation aganst Man City for McLeish) and all it's gonna take is a couple of banana slips in our next games and we'll be screwed. Once McLeish is in a relegation battle, he can't get out of it.

  5. Lol @ Villa fans still defending with a horrible league record. Not so sure if I can class them as Villa fans anymore. No Villa fan would find this acceptable, he should have lost everyone the way he lined us up against Spurs. Go support a League 1 club or something because that's about your ambition right now. Too much relegation loving in this thread for my liking.
So, a REAL Villa fan only supports them when they are doing well?

Whereas somebody who supports the Villa during the bad times is a disgrace?

I must have been doing something wrong going to VP, getting behind (the admittedly not very good) team when we were in the THIRD tier, back in the early 70s.

I'm not a fan of AMC, but we've had worse managers, believe me.

It's not just the results, it's his horrible tactics and subs.

You know, MON went through a terrible patch as well during his first season but I backed him because I knew he would get us out of it and he actually did. I have no faith in McLeish's ability. Once he's in a relegation battle. That's it. You can kiss goodbye to the Premier League. No sane Villa fan should back him. It's like rooting for relegation. We're only 8 points away from relegation zone. That's more closer than European spots (lol Paul Faulkner). Fans should fear his potenial of taking us down this season, but some are rooting for him. Very anti Villa. SHA supporters backed him and they were punished. Twice.

"agree with me or you're not a villa fan" now. Haha brilliant!

You sure love his relegation tactics don't ya? Again, this club isn't for you and that goes for everyone who's still making laughable excuses for a man who has 6 wins out of 24 (soon to be 25).

Call me a 'Villa fan' than  care to recommend a new club to support in your infinite knowledge?

    Some MLS team.

I didn't say that. I don't agree that Petrov is a good captain, but if some think he is then fine.

But when 'Villa fans' still make excuses of this manager who has proven to be terrible at this club (as predicted), then they obviously don't like this club anymore.

You sure love his relegation tactics don't you? I bet you was glad he put 6 defenders on the pitch against Spurs, try to keep the scoreline down against several 'giants', enjoyed his awesome 'Plan A' tactics against Swansea, enjoyed his 10 men behind the ball against Arsenal when we were 0-2 up and his masterful subs against Newcastle that cause us to lose the game.

  9. The sooner people realise he's staying the better, Your wasting your breath ranting about getting McLeish out. We're better off throwing our support behind the team.

That would mean giving McLeish free passes like he's been getting all this season. Can't have that. Not when just last season SHA supporters backed the team and were punished for trusting McLeish. That squad shouldn't have been relegated because we're now seeing some of the same players still in the Premier League at different clubs. You have a deathwish if rooting for McLeish's relegation tactics is the way forward.

I'm actually hearing that when we were 0-2 down against QPR the players man management themselves. Makes sense consider McLeish just sat there with a facepalm while the players were 100 times better without his relegation instructions with telling the players to 'get back' 24/7.

  10. Really? When we're losing he doesn't really seem to do anything to kick the players up a gear. Where as Keane he has done it a few times already. Look at the compairson. It's huge. Petrov goes missing quite alot. I don't rate him as a captain.

  11. He isn't a classy player, he's a **** disgrace. Couldn't even be bothered to wave to the travelling supporters at the end of he game and he's suppose to be the captain. I could understand the defenders not doing it because we know they're bunch of rocket polishers, but Given, Bannan and even Bent managed to so what's his excuse? He always goes to hiding when it gets tough. ALWAYS. He's not leadership material.

Thats the biggest pile of horse shit ive read on here in ages.

I've never considered him as a leader. He always has his head down when it gets tough and he did it again yesterday. When you've got Bent rising above it over the club's captain you know he isn't worthy enough to wear the armband. Disgraceful really he's still wearing it. Just give it to Given.

And look at the leadership qualities with Keane lately. When have you ever seen Petrov do that?

Petrov, if you wanna leave just go. It's obvious you wanted out with the whole wanted to play for Liverpool scenario.

Seriously, where are you dreaming this stuff up from? :?

  14. Some people want him to rebuild next season to see what he could do. Madness, they're asking for relegation and I won't have sympathy for those fans.

I won't forget when we won against Wolves quite alot of fans came on here defending him and were treating that result as a cup final. Outrageous.

1 win out of 4 league games is the best he can do. That's his ceiling. It shouldn't even be acceptable this club. Fans should be ashamed of themselves for even making any excuses for him. I don't wanna see a repeated performance if we get a scrappy win against Wigan (if we're lucky that is).

It must get tiring knowing everything and being right all the time.

It must be tiring defending McLeish all the time when you know you're running out of options.
