daggy_333
What does this bit mean, (taking from "Whats New in Football Manager 2014").... Play on Linux for the first time, plus the inclusion of ‘cloud-save’ technology which means that managers can now pursue a single career from any computer, anywhere in the world Could I therefore play the game on my Nexus? I have no idea what Linux means. Isn't Linux an operating system like Windows/Mac?

samjp26
Linux is an operating system, cloud saves mean that if you're like me and have a 2 Mac's for example, you can play your game on either without the need to keep saving onto a USB stick. For me this is helpful as I've had corrupt saves from USB transferring before, most notable losing my career at Hartlepool just after I'd got them into the Champions League
MessiWillSignForVilla
Release date announced as October 31st. Not sure how excited I am for this, I thought FM13 was pretty awful post-January, but the new features look as if they've sorted out a lot of the problems I had with it. Avfc96
Had the choice of getting this or Fifa 14. Will be getting this without a doubt, although I do blame FM for me doing worse than expected in my A-levels in the summer.

villarule123 Posted September 23, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted September 23, 2013 Don't think I'm getting this until it's cheap, they've ran out of features and I can't justify paying full whack

lp_villa830
I'd agree with that Villanrule, this years build up just feels very lacklustre. Think I'll just stick with my FM13 save for a while, although the demo could change that.
Wainy316
Stayed away from FM for a good few years now. It causes too much trouble in my life.
Don_Simon
Does anyone know if a network game for FM 2014 is possible if one person is playing through windows and another playing on a mac? My brother and I want to prove who is the greatest Faulkner manager of them all. (It will be me).

I see Lambert has your brother Paul playing this now, clearly wasn't to show him how tough a job the Villa one is.

Can I save it on my home computer and play it on my iPad en route to work? That would be asbofrickinlutely awesome! Lose girlfriend and job in one go! Boom.

Can I save it on my home computer and play it on my iPad en route to work? That would be asbofrickinlutely awesome! Lose girlfriend and job in one go! Boom. It means you can save on your PC at home and then play at a PC elsewhere. I doubt you'd be able to save it on PC and then pick it up on iPad as they would be different games (i think?) Plus I imagine that the cloud saving will be done through Steam, does the iPad have Steam? I'm saying this assuming that the iPad version of the game will be different to the PC version? Or are they the same? Edited October 8, 2013 by PieFacE
Paddywhack
I'm probably completely wrong, but I got the impression you could carry on with your PC save on your PS Vita? So maybe you can on your iPad too. I dunno, I'm out of my depth here.
PieFacE Posted October 8, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted October 8, 2013 Having just investigated further it seems you can use the cloud saves on PC, Mac and Linux machines. I don't think you'll be able to use the cloud saves on your Ipad/Android.
