"According to FM (Football Mercato), Aston Villa intention to make an offer of € 3 million for Ryad Boudebouz. Lacking a concrete offer during this summer transfer window, Ryad Boudebouz could finally see the end of the tunnel if this information were to be confirmed."

"Under until June 2014, Ryad Boudebouz (23 years), midfielder Sochaux, do not leave indifferent Aston Villa. Author of three goals in the league last season, Algerian international has been overseen by an emissary of the Villans against Evian TGFC (1-1, first day of Ligue 1) on Saturday night. The club managed by Paul Lambert could send an offer for the native of Colmar, which is also followed by Southampton (in particular)."

That's an interesting link, I am a firm believer that every team needs someone enigmatic and with a big of an edge; N'zog is a bit like that but he gets moody rather than even.

Boub is similar to Taarabt; be nice to have someone skilful at the club as I feel we lack someone changing the way we play. In game it stops the defensive rhythm of the opposition and in training it allows fresh perspective.

Can play AM / CM & RW. Inter, Liverpool & Southampton was linked to him earlier this summer. Looks AMAZING on youtube. Souchaux fans says that he is a bit on and off. Superb when on, but often goes missing.

Isn't that the same with all players of this type?

I was just thinking though...

Put Messi in Hull or Crystal Palace. Wouldn't he also appear as a bit on and off don't you think? Superb when on, but would go missing. Due to team he plays for that is (the way the play, how much they can risk when going forward, how OFTEN they actually do etc.), not how good he is. Not saying that young Ryad is the new Messi, but talking about the principle. Sochaux is fighting relegation every season.

(not sure if principle is the right world, but you get it)

Naw.  I'm fairly certain that Messi wouldn't go missing.

Reminds me of Taarabt, of which I'm not a fan :/

The first thing I thought too.

Are you sure you guys aren't jumping to conclusions based on the fact that they're of similar races? Because I can't see what else would help you to come to such conclusions.

Well, he does with Argentina at times. Been critized a lot for that by both press and fans.

But the point isn't Messi here. The point is that a great player wouldn't necessarily set the world alight in a poor team. He might appear as a bit on & off (due to the team he plays for, not his potential or quality).
