chelmsley_villan
as an older fecker, we had a great simple song, sung by the whole ground for Andy Gray, which could be adapted - i am sure most 40 somethings would remember it blasting out. To the tune sailing, by Rod Stewart Ohh Ashley, oh oh Ashley youre the greatest, The Holte End say Oh Ashley, oh oh Ashley, we'll be with you all the way repeat repeat etc Gets my vote And mine too

heystally!
This is my favourite Barry song: 'You are my Barry, My Gareth Barry, You make me happy when skies are grey, So **** your Lampard and Steven Gerrard, And please don't take my Barry away' And my favourite Young song: Young..... Young will tear you apart........ again..... Repeat. And a potential Petrov one: Like me, and you, He's Villa through and through, He's Stiliyaaaan, He's Stiliyaaaan. He'll strike, it hard, And score from 40 yards, He's Stiliyaaaan, He's Stiliyaaaan. Still unsure about the first two lines, but I think it needs two variations sung after each other, so it doesn't get old fast. But I think we don't sing a chant based on this tune (or am I mistaken) so IDEAS PLEASE.

Gompedyret
How about something with Weezer - Buddy Holly? Like Ooh-wee-ooh, he is Nigel Reo-Coker Oh-oh, and he tackles like a king I don't care if he gets a booking I dont care about that My first attempt at a chant ever, it obviously needs tuning or rewriting. But the melody is great and the first line could just start something.

Jas
Struck me yesterday at Goodison that we really don't have a song for this lad, at a time, when we really need to show him how much we want him to stay. When we sang 'Barry for England' - which was after we had sang for literally EVERYONE else in our team, you could just tell he was waiting for it - I got that sense - he clapped immediately. We really need to get a song for him to show him how much we want him to stay. Barry for England just doesn't cut it. Don't know if anyone else noticed this?
