So he is to Utd what Tim Sherwood was to Villa initial success but ultimately found out?   I am hoping the 6-0 beatings are coming soon starting against Spurs!

I think you can apply it to more Villa managers than just Sherwood.

Yep...

To be fair this is like how I remember ferries utd, getting forward quick and with purpose, direct but through good passing and not aimlessly long

Bryan took a break from Roxy Music for 20 years must have missed that :P

Utd actually look decent first half the bastards!

If OGS get any credit for that it's ridicilous.

Any other keeper and Spurs would of won that 5-1

United tactically schooled Spurs in the first half, second was a slightly different story but he totally deserves credit for this performance.

First hour they played really well I thought. Huge threat on the break and Pogba was excellent. Last half hour was a siege of course but then again Mourinho also had De Gea in goal for his half season.

Man. United 7 points off Spurs now. 4 weeks ago it was 13 so they are closing the gap not just to Chelsea.

Of course he deserves credit but sooner or later his luck will change. De gea made some fantastic saves but Spurs gave him the chance to make those saves. United could still make the top 4. Cant see them finishing above Spurs though.

Calling it an excellent defensive performance is laughable by the pundits.

Aren't defenders supposed to stop the opposition from creating chances? Spurs created 7-8 clear cut chances in that 2nd half, the only good defensive performance of Man U were De Gea, you gotta say the defence had a shitty game.

United did well but with comically bad back four of Lindelof, Jones, Young and Shaw they were always going to give up chances. They need 5 new defenders in the summer and need to throw the chequebook at De Gea to keep him.

Not sure if we watched the same first half. United schooled spurs in how to defend and play effectively. No matter how much people will squeel "luck, OGS had no part in that" etc. it still remains 7 wins in a row. He's now also beaten one of the hottest teams in the league away. What more does he have to do to at least get some credit from people who can't see past him taking on a club in Cardiff which was doomed to fail anyway?

A football game is a game of 2 halves mate.

Poch changed his system in the second half which resulted in Spurs completely dominating the entire half and Man U coaching staff failed to react. Any other keeper and Spurs would of won that pretty comfortable.
