He isn't saying anything about Shaw that Van Gaal didn't say in 2014, He wouldn't play him because he was too fat & not fit enough to play 90 minutes, Nothing has changed since then. Just another massively overrated english player that had one good season and gave up when he got a big move and realised he wasn't as good as everyone else at his new club.

18 year old kids going for 30 million & getting 100k+ per week kills any incentive for them to actually do anything bar the odd few who have that extra bit of drive and want a proper career.

If you were a multi-millionaire by the time you are 20 would you really have any reason/desire to slog your guts out when you're guaranteed 5 million per year for the next 5 years for simply being there

Slightly OT but saying he's making £5 million per year how much tax is taken out of that? 50%?

Then you've got all the trappings of being a sports star - new car every year, fancy house, trophy bimbo wife.

It's easy to see how stars blow it all and end up bankrupt just a few years after retiring-

Getting back OT I imagine Shaw will never get a contract like this again.

I can see someone like West Ham (if they stay up) splashing out on him and giving him a huge contract :D

He'd be a quality signing for any club really.  Looked very good at Southampton and has shown glimpses at Man Utd despite a leg break and the Mourinho antics.  Will only be 23 next season too.

to repalce lucas digne who hasnt worked for them, maybe not as outlandish as it sounds, barca will regret letting grimaldo go

If the reports about what type of person he is are true, and there's no reason to doubt them, there's no chance he'd settle in Spain.

That spurs goal shows to me why Pogba will never be world class.

Yes it’s a great ball in by Erickson, but Pogba was halfhearted putting in an effort to get close too him. If he’d put in full effort  he gets back too him.

Considering that they are apparently crap, really defensive and generally underperforming there is a very good chance that Mourinhos trophy cabinet will look like this after 2 years.

4 down, 2 to go i guess. I wish we could be that bad..

Mourinho's slowly morphing more and more into Wenger with each season. Still good in the cup competitions but dosen't really challenge for the league anymore and is starting to get knocked out of last 16 of the CL on a regular basis.

Even looked a bit like him today on the touchline with the white shirt and no tie look.

2nd to a team who spent about 1/4 billion on their defence alone isn’t bad.

Return of Champions league football, cup finals, 2nd in the league, loads of trophies... you’d be an idiot to criticise Jose’s under 2 years in the job.

I'm not criticising them for just finishing second to a brilliant Man. City team though.

It's the same as Wenger finishing second to the Man. United treble team of 98/99 or falling short of the other great Fergie team of Rooney-Ronaldo in 2007-2009.

Anyway in last three seasons Mourinho has persided over the most pathetic title defence I've ever seen from a top team (Leicester don't count) when he was sacked in December 2015 with Chelsea 16th.

Last season his league position was sixth (same as Wenger).

14/15 he was knocked out by PSG in last 16 of CL. This season of course by Sevilla in same round.

What he did between 2003-2010 is as relevant as what Wenger did between 2002-06.

If you look at his record since his final season at Real Madrid it actually isn't that great if you use the criteria he criticised Wenger for when he made his specialist in failure comment.

Edit: I judge Mourinho more harshly because he personally goes around poking rivals in the eye and savaging their achievements. Not too many of the other top managers do that unless it can be pointed out.
