Spurs have high expectations but no money to spend. No decent manager wants to deal with that combination.

I'd give my right arm to have them announce big Sam and have the country laugh their **** off.

So looks like Poch is definitely staying at PSG, and Conte has rejected them. Wonder where they go from here?

Seen Erik ten Hag and Ralf Rangnick mentioned. Think they might struggle to get either of them.

Spurs fan popping off everywhere calling for them to sign Isak.

The delusion is real.

£50-60m? Its not crazy, especially if they sold kane

Their problem is kane, no one is going there to play 2nd fiddle whilst at the same time no matter what they do they'll never start over him if he's fit, he wouldn't be going there to compete with kane, same as he probably wouldn't go back to Dortmund this summer either

Spurs (and Arsenal) have become absolute laughing stocks, further solidified by their audacious attempts to be included in the European Elite.

Both fanbases however do currently seem unaware of this.

Both fan bases have failed to grasp that now, they are a "normal team" fighting it out with us, Everton, West Ham etc. Allbeit, Leicester have surpassed them and we have far greater buying power.

Man City, Liverpool (until Klopp leaves), United ($) and Chelsea ($$) are absolutely miles away in the distance and it will take a fall from grace or a systematic effort over 5-10 years to consistently match them commercially and on the playing field.

We don't have greater buying power though.  They still have a massive advantage in buying power, they just choose not to exercise that power.  Slight difference.

Our aim needs to be to catch them up on buying power, and actually using that power.  That will take many years and European football though.

We do, due to our owners mindset.

Spurs are ran on a balance sheet, therefore in a covid market are highly unlikely to invest heavily.

We are currently investing regardless of losses.

Whether we are in the investment / loss making status and will turn into a balance sheet club (arsenal, spurs), or our wowners will treat us "for fun and the love of the game (city, Chelsea) is yet to be seen.

But I do completely agree, we need to improve commercial to sustainably compete. At the moment we have greater buying power due to our owners generosity.

I can see Levy getting the blame and being dragged through the mud by our media when in reality no one comes close to a sensible bid for him...

The narrative of the summer won't be that no one wants him or sees him as value for money that's for sure

I could see Levy really making it difficult for Kane to leave. Don’t get the impression that any kind of gentleman’s agreement will be adhered to by the arrogant clearing in the woods.

well Levy as usual will show he is an intense negotiator but in reality it will show he is just a chancer. Berbatov 30 million plus a loan signing, Modric 34 million, Bale was really the only great deal they got and he milked it as if he was some intense negotiator

Daniel Levy in reality is a shit Doug Ellis
