Well it's better than Milton Keynes....

I do remember when Arsenal moved their CL games there and it was not a success at all....will certainly inspire the opposition.

Yep seem to remember Batistuta ripping them apart and Barca giving them a spanking at Wembley in the 99/00 season, loved it.

that makes no sense. What about cup finals, if Spurs will qualify?

Might be a negative effect on them to be honest. Don't think they'll get the same adrenaline rush playing in a stadium they play in every other week.

id say playing at Wembley will do more damage to them than good. Suppose the rare positive is the players are getting some experience with England playing there that it feels natural

Shame to see famous old grounds disappear.

Yes, all the memories, highs - lows, life changing experiences, not just for players, managers and staff, but the fans who have frequented the place.  Stories of their great grandparents standing in stadium, standing on milk crates.  All the joy and the sorrow, euphoria and anger - all held up within those four soon-to-be demolished stands.

Yep, as a purist and a more general 'fan' of the game I don't like to see that happen.  I know it's 'progress'.  Must be hard for some of their fans to see that, even knowing what's coming.  Spare a thought for Chelsea fans too :P Losing Three Point Lane.

It's bollocks though. Those thoughts are held up in their mind, not in bricks and mortar.

You're right.  although you could argue that those stories about being in that place on those specific times is now a full stop in the history.  The next generation can no longer add to the history.  But the cool thing is, they get to make their own :)

This is correct - but the Emirates isn't like Highbury.  The Etihad isn't like Maine Road.

I'd be absolutely gutted if Villa Park was knocked down and a new stadium built - "bollocks" or otherwise.

The demolition of White Hart Lane.

They are still playing there this season so does that mean their capacity is reduced to below 30k?  Is the new stadium going to cover part of WHL?
