Greatest English Film Ever

I thought Tyranosaur was brilliant, and by association, that whole Ken Loach look and feel (I know Ty wasn't a Loach but you get the point).

Tyranosaur was brutal and compelling.

Yes good film that, Olivia Colman was especially good in it.

Naked (no love for Mike Leigh??)

Yes, he's one of my favourite directors.

As for Naked, it's an acting masterclass from David Thewlis. Brilliant movie.

Has anyone mentioned scum or quadrophenia?

2 awesome films

I went to see these on a double bill when they came out, at the Capitol, Ward End.

Me and two mates, bikers, leather gear, helmets...gets inside and its full of parka-wearing mod tossers :)

Strangely they didn't make any trouble...

Surprised you haven't gone for something from Viv Thomas...

Nuts in May', isnt there a Blues reference in there somewhere.

Yep. The biker "Finger" is an acutely observed thick-as-pigshit 'nose. "They should neverra sold Latchford..."
