Anyway this is pointless because my initial point was to get across that our signings in January had many interesting alternatives than the Villa and that over the summer this will be the case again, which is most likely why it is taking so long for us to see any signings materialise. They were very serious as they wanted him to play on the left and had nothing to do with Lennon. Surely if he was so great there would be bigger clubs in for him? This is not correct really. You are judging a player by what clubs he attracts. Why cant we be interested in players that doesnt attract the bigger boys? And what I was saying before is that we have bought players in the history that hasnt been attracted big clubs at that moment. It's perfectly possible that we'll get neither or both... I think De Jong is a DM/RB and i'm not sure he plays on the wing.I agree with you.It's not NRC or de jong,we could be going for both.Would love both.Must have both.and Sneijder as well. Including yourself. All I'm saying is have patience and faith in the club. It is still very early days and I believe there is going to be some activity pretty soon. Even if we signed them, what would they do? The players dont report back for ages yet and the training ground is a couple of weeks away from completion. I personally think we'll do our business in one or maybe two busy weeks of frantic activity. That might still be two weeks away and it still would be in plenty of time.
