jon_c
They would take 6mil and Stuart Taylor for Gordon. No because he doesn't play for Lithuania
Condimentalist
There is a LOT of quality goalies in Europe Are there really? Who? Are they available or better than Craig Gordon?
Condimentalist
They would take 6mil and Stuart Taylor for Gordon. Good shout KKR. They might want more than £6m but a swap deal involving Stuart Taylor could well suit all parties.

GlastonSpur
A usually reliable Spurs ITK has just said that Villa have offered 8m for Defoe. I presume this an opening offer. My own opinion on this - and it's just an opinion, not information - is that Spurs won't sell Defoe unless and until Bent is signed, and then will want significantly more than 8m (assuming that Spurs decide to sell at all and that Defoe would be willing to move). Anyhow, for me it confirms one thing: Villa are definitely interested in Defoe. Make of it what you will.
ianrobo1
ITK ??? To me Defoe is the second choice behind Bellamy how many years left on his contract

holtend4life
What about Steklenburg (sp) for a new keeper? Surely must fancy some more competative football week in week out in a stronger league?
kkr
Well bidding was alleged to begin at £5mil for Defoe with Portsmouth starting that process.
chris25
i wouldnt pay more than £8m for either bellamy or defoe. there must be other strikers around that could help us to the next level
ianrobo1
ITK ??? ... how many years left on his contract ITK = In the Know 2 years left on contract. thanks glaston, two years left would mean full price I guess, £10m for a young english forwardwho scores about one in 2.5 games is fair Bent should be slightly above that
