Ponky Posted June 22, 2013 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Anybody watching this? Just watched a very entertaining 1-1 between Australia and Colombia. Some very promising young players for Australia playing a very high tempo attacking game - very unlucky not to win IMO. Also noticed that the Aussie squad features ex-Villa academy player Reece Caira. Didn't get on the pitch this game though. Three very promising young Melbourne Victory players - Conor Pain and the two fullbacks - Galloway and Geria (best player on the pitch for mine). Our goal was scored by Daniel De Silva - just 16 years of age and an absolute livewire. England's campaign gets underway tomorrow against Iraq. Iraq not a team to be underestimated. Not even in the extended squad. Everton the best represented with 5. I suspect we'd have a decent contingent in the ROI team if they were there.
