Toon Gets TOXIC: Graeme Jones And Dwight Gayle Clash, Bruce Lashes Out At Hayden And Players ‘P***Ed Off’

Steve Bruce is the one man who should be a source of unity in Mike Ashley’s broken club. At the moment he is the biggest cause of division.

Bruce is at odds with supporters, the press and even the club hierarchy, who targeted him in a barbed statement after he dared to demand more signatures on the deadline.

But even worse for Bruce, a significant number of his players are angry and frustrated with his management. The club is heading for a crisis, not for the first time. Ashley wants out but can’t sell amid stalled Saudi takeover.

The mood at Steve Bruce’s (above) Newcastle is toxic after a string of big quarrels at the club.

A spirited training session ensued – two senior stars had to calm down by Bruce – and an ill-tempered clash between assistant manager Graeme Jones and striker Dwight Gayle, with captain Jamaal Lascelles forced to intervene.

A source said: ‘There was a confrontation after a disagreement. Jones said, “It’s always about you, Gayley.” Dwight didn’t feel like it and said “It’s all about you since you’ve been with England”.

“This can happen between players, but when management is involved, it’s never a good sign. There are some disappointed players.’

Jones was a popular and much-needed asset last season, but some are now wondering why he failed to step in and change a 3-5-2 system that they believe is using too many players out of position.

There was also a heated investigation in the dressing room after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Manchester United, with Bruce telling midfielder Isaac Hayden – who played at center back – he should have done more to prevent Cristiano Ronaldo from running away from him. to score his second goal.

A source said: ‘Isaac said: “He is the fastest player in the country”. He also made it clear that he is not a defender. The boys thought the manager’s comments were unjustified.’ On top of that, Sports post has been told there is resentment over the lack of structure in the training schedule, as well as concerns expressed last season about what some believe were excessive days off, which led to an internal investigation.

He's perfected this now and is one of the worlds wealthiest football managers, trophies my arse, its about one thing and one thing only to some.

But he has met his match with Ashley who wont pay him up 😂

Unless it's for an inflated price that Ashley wants, why on earth would he sell the club. He makes a gesture of a signing every summer window, somewhere between £20-40 mill, employs a manager who whatever anyone says, keeps them up - and then Ashley gets the other £75m of TV money - every single season. If it were me, I would not be selling any time soon.
