this blokes sussed Bruce out....cabbages at the ready !!!!

Wait until he starts putting centre backs at right back, right backs at left back, midfielders at centre back and midfielders on the wing before you have a go lad.

Bruce is only at stage 1 and this guy is in meltdown already. word removed will be dead by Christmas at this rate. His wife needs to sort out the life insurance policy pronto.

Unfortunately for him, ‘Steve Bruce managing your football club’ is exempt as a pre-existing medical condition under most providers.

Jokanovic is a decent shout though. I still rate him.

Who knows what would have happened with Fulham if they didn't sack him.

Dude sounds like he's about to cry, you gotta feel for him. He's spot on about his media mates though. Robbie Savage reflexively defending him after a 5-0 defeat was proof. Remember when he "shut some people up" after the win at Spurs in gameweek 3? He's picked up a grand total of 2 more points since then. Their only win this season was a flukey smash and grab job.

I saw the MOTD2 post match interview and the reporter thanked Steve for his honesty and patted him on his fat back at the end. Its pathetic, who does that.

Does he pay them? The same reporters would tear into a Mourinho or Wenger, who are on different managerial planets. How nice can one guy really be?

British sporting media are quite xenophobic. If Rafa Benitez put in that performance their be uproar. Soccer Saturday crew will be out saying he is the best Newcastle manager since Sir Bobby

He's got a lot of them in his back pocket, one of the 'old boys', they all love Brucie, he's one of the lads. Helps him disguise the fact that he's a manipulative, malignant word removed.

Yep he is a scumbag with his dickhead kids

Gives them biscuits and coffee at the conferences

Knows how to play them, always good for a story, would be interesting to know if he off the record leaks stuff too or if he cuts off any of them that criticise him

Not hard to see why Rafa Benitez vetoed against the Joelinton signing.

He is not at all suited to play as an isolated target man, not at all how he was used at Hoffenheim. He had support there.

Apparently he had 27 touches against Man U 1/3 of those were headers...

He leads the league in unsuccessful touches with 39 and in aerial duels lost 63 out of 102

£40m and they are not playing to his strengths :D

Carroll is so much more suited to this Rafa style of play Bruce is reverting to, will be starting before long

And then get injured for the rest of the season...

I actually think a front two of Carroll and Gayle (who is now back to fitness) could be pretty handy against bottom-half opposition if he can find a way to get them both on the pitch (probably by dropping Almiron, who seems completely ineffective).

Sure they would also get more out of Joelinton if he was played alongside Carroll.

Problem is they have a back 5 and would need to go to a back 4 or weaken their midfield even more to do so.

They might do it, sit deep with 7 outfield players and hope that Carroll wins enough headers that a few of them lands on Gayle/Joelinton or Saint Maxime.

Or earns them set pieces.
