Leandro Bacuna

I haven't been able to watch us this season hardly at all, so I'm far from an expert, but he's really looked class at times. The occasional switch off, but if he cuts that out he'll be great, because he looks like Ashley Cole in his prime a times defensively ..and Cole doesn't have his offensive attributes.

Really impressed me lately and is getting better every game. Still switches off at times but considering he just a kid and it's his first year in this league, he is doing well.

Remember that headless chicken that started against Liverpool!

I think this is his position now. He's been a utility player in previous years but I think now he's at an age and at a level where he should commit himself to becoming a top class rb. And to be honest I don't think he'll have to do too much.

Would be nice if we can save some pennies in the transfer window by not having to buy a new RB. Bacuna with Lowton for back-up is sufficient for me, guessing if both of them got injured or something ridiculous we could stick Okore there too.

I still would like to see him have a consistent run in midfield at some point (next season).

Not me, I want him to keep improving at right back and for us to spend money on a decent attacking and a defensive midfielder.

Definitely agree with you and although I would like to see him in the middle of the park, what is the point if he can play like he is doing at right back. His shirt number fits him to a tee, a number 7 at right back who gets very far up the pitch but always seems to get himself back when he needs to, almost as if he is playing two positions at the same time which is what we look for in a modern fullback. If he can keep his concentration levels up and cut out the lapses, I honestly think he'll go on to be something special.

If we have no need to buy a right back and we can sign Bertrand up, surely we'll be able to bring in some real talent to help further up the pitch.

I understand. I would also like us to sign new players in the positions you have suggested. I think some of Bacuna's other attributes are wasted playing RB (Vision/Finishing/Crossing/Shooting) though, I am thinking more box-to-box midfielder.

FBs are incredibly important nowadays. All the top quality teams have FBs who attack like wingers, Citeeeh have Zabletta and Clichy for example, players who contribute more offensively than say 10 years ago.You need quick, athletic, aggressive players with good football ability, Bacuna has all of them qualities. He needs to stay at FB, he is only 22 in his first year in the Prem, he will get better, and we will do well to hold on to him.

I think he could develop into a great RB fast athletic and can attack with abit of work on his defensive positioning he'd have the lot. I can't see him developing into a world class midfielder but as RB he could play there for years. All we would need to do then was sign Bertrand and defence is sorted then spend any other money on getting a couple of class midfielders. Then up top it's all about whether we keep Benteke!

He's got all the assets to become a great RB. I don't think he would ever become a great midfield player. So hope he stays where he is and keeps improving.

He was excellent in the midfield against West Brom. I am undecided where his long term position is.

He has many good attributes but I'm not sure vision is one of them.

I really love this lad. Have done all season.

Difference being, at the start of the season I thought he was average but a hard working set piece specialist who gave his all every match.

Now I can see him becoming an excellent right back as he learns the position. He has gone on leaps and bounds this year. An absolute bargain

Would like to see him play in a front 3 bacuna benteke gabby

With his height power and pace and finishing

Why? He's our first choice right back and I imagine will be for a while yet.

Hoping he turns into the new Gareth bale!
