What the media did is give the killers precisely what they wanted. Any copy cat killings are on them. "Kay Burley made me do it." Really? When you amplify an event like the media have done in this case you're only going to inspire copycats. Obviously the killers are at the head of the causal chain (if it wasn't for their attack there wouldn't be any chance of a copycat by definition) but the media do more than play their part in 'reporting' these things to death. 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
