Stevo985 Posted May 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted May 20, 2013 On a somewhat related note. It's crazy to think Jurassic Park is 20 years old in 2 weeks. Really? I'd have guessed that as being 1995 from memory. I definitely saw that at the cinema so I'd only have been 7 if it was 1993 Time flies!

snowychap
It was a little cinema above Victoria station that showed cartoons. That reminds me, I remember going to our local cinema (on Oxford St in Kiddy) for a saturday morning cartoon showing (I ghuess it was a couple ofhours) but I can't remember whether it was a one off or something they ran regularly. Chindie Posted May 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted May 20, 2013 The Lion King. It's strange, I've not seen that film in years, and it was also one I rarely watched as a kid, but I distinctly remember loving it and can still remember seeing it in the cinema like it was yesterday. Xela
On a somewhat related note. It's crazy to think Jurassic Park is 20 years old in 2 weeks. I remember watching it twice at the Erdington Showcase. Don't think the cinema had been open that long. Shut now of course Talking of shut cinemas (well, I was anyway) does anyone remember the other Odeon in Brum? Smallbrook Queensway I think? LondonLax
I think it was probably 'The Land Before Time'. I am pretty sure McDonald's had a happy meal tie in as well. Milo and Otis was about that time as well.
Oaks
First one I can remember was raiders of the lost arc, I was very bored, even though the film is awesome. It's quite hard to judge because cinemas used to re show films more often then. It's either that Bambi or one of the Star Wars films.
