AVFC_Hitz
In France it's just manners to have it bleu. In Turkey steak is expensive but they know how to cook it. A t-bone will set you back £20 but they'll cook it to perfection, and they keep it very simple. Edited May 19, 2013 by AVFC_Hitz
brommy
Went for a steak last night. I'll take mine rare, sadly this one came out medium. Still nice though. Too often in UK restaurants, they over cook steak. My guess is the cut is usually slightly too thin so it cooks to the middle too quickly. Also I suspect it is cooked to the point it should be eaten at and then during resting the highly heated outside of the steak continues to heat through to the centre. I presume the solution is to cook it to 'one less' than required before resting, eg. cook to rare, rest, eat at medium rare.

peterms
Looks like steak Nagasaki to me In fact it's a really odd dish all round. I don't think I've ever seen Yorkshire pudding served with steak. Is it real, or prepurchased frozen? If you're going to serve Yorkshire pudding with anything, the point is to have gravy. All looks very dry. Was there some sauce or gravy served with it, out of shot? Makes you wonder how it was all described on the menu.
