Coventry City locked out of ground

Blues could apply to have Ricoh as their home ground sell Sty and then we can go back to being the only Birmingham team like it should be

Oh god no.  Having that lot play at a stadium five miles from my house would be too much to take.

We already are. They don't count.

You're always ultimately disappointed and wished you'd picked something a bit better though.

I'm guessing that's how Coventry fans are feeling right now.

Aston Villa are a Banoffee Cheesecake.

Birmingham City are the cheeseboard that comes with 2 chunks of cheap cheddar, one tiny bit of brie and a couple of dry Jacobs Crackers.

ITV News Central understands the Ricoh Arena is suing Northampton Town - for effectively 'stealing' its customer.

It follows Coventry City agreeing a deal to play at Northampton's Sixfields Stadium for at least the next three years.

More to follow...

Absolutely bizarre. What are Coventry supposed to do? If they can't pay to play at the Ricoh and they can't play elsewhere....?

Exactly how I feel about our former resident felcher.

We played for the staff football team, in the same position (right wing). He was about 20 years younger than me, but a fat smoker. I could outrun him all day long, and usually got picked ahead of him (or he got subbed for me), it used to really piss him off.

In the pub after games he always went off on rants about how he hated Villa, and I just smiled and refused to rise to the bait. This greatly amused the rest of the team, to his further annoyance.

Happy days.

I thought the owners of the Ricoh offered Coventry the open to use the ground rent free? (I assume getting some matchday revenue).

Indeed they did. Sisu seemingly chose to reject that offer though, in favour of building their own ground.

To add to the hilarity, Sisu 'called out' an MP whom, when the issue of Cov moving out of the city to play their games was raised in the House, blamed it all on them and called them a disgrace, basically. Sisu invited said chappy to stop hiding behind Parlimentary immunity, and, well, not in these exact words, but basically to 'SAY IT TO OUR FACE'.

This came about as an article on their OS. In the minority here, but I am feeling increasingly sorry for their lot, it's a pretty unbelievable state of affairs.
