I 'spose I really should confess to something.

And it's that

I really

like

Steam  Trains.

Why is this a confession?  Steam trains are effing awesome.

Unless you mean, as in a sexual manner.  In which case I can't help you.

Or maybe I can.  Here's a Mallard...

...fap on, you crazy bastid. :thumb:

Mmmmm.

OOps, er, anyway..............

A couple of years ago we timed a trip to the York area to take in a visit to the National Railway Museum because I knew Mallard was there and I'd never seen it before.

After walking round the place for a fair while (which is a pleasure) I couldn't find it anywhere (it's a big thing to lose). I then found out that was in the bloody workshop for a refurb. Still saw it mind, but it was a from a bit of a distance so not quite the same.

It was the big A4 farewell from yesterday I think, would like to have witnessed that.

I used to know every word to Robbie Williams' 'Rock DJ'.

I still know all the words to Madison Avenue's 'Don't Call Me Baby'.

But I love that song, so screw all of you.

Don't underestimate me, boy, I'll make you sorry you were born.

You don't know me the way you really should, I'm so misunderstood.

Oh my god is that actually right? Just popped into my head.

Ghey they said!

Train sets are awesome, but only if you're a child, or the father of a child. I've agreed with my missus that we can have a child one day as long as it's a boy, and I can build him a train set for his first birthday.

The same rules apply for real trains aswell.

You should have gone last summer. They had SIX A4 Pacifics on display.

They should bring back steam trains. The smell is nice!

Steam trains are all we've ever had on the IOM.  My kids have never been on a train that isn't a steam train. (Other than the NY Subway).
