snowychap
Well the incredibly harsh penalty shot for one ! Thought Paramor (who has form on slow play) gave him that? Edited April 12, 2013 by snowychap
CI
First time in masters history I believe for slow play off the tees
snowychap
Not the first time Paramor has given the penalty and certainly not the first time he's warned people. Probably unlucky for the lad that Paramor was his ref but it would appear that he was playing slowly and largely ignored the couple of warnings. He seems to have taken it well - I just hope that the shot doesn't mean that he misses the cut.

snowychap
Because its harsh It's not 'harsh' - it's part of the rules. The real problem is that the rules may not get so stringently applied as they should in other circumstances. Some people take an utter age and seem to get away with it - that they do is the problem (I'm not sure they would if Paramor was with their group). snowychap
It seems he may have taken the drop on 15 in the wrong place (and hence signed for the wrong score). Edited April 13, 2013 by snowychap

memoryof82
I don't see him being kicked out, I would imagine he would receive a two/three shot penalty?. http://tinyurl.com/cx946fy Can't have one rule for Tiger and one rule for the rest?... snowychap
As per your link, the DQ would be for signing for the wrong score. It appears, though, that there is a rule which gives discretion to the tournament committee to waive a DQ in exceptional individual cases. Does 'being Tiger Woods' count as an 'exceptional individual case'? Frankly, after seeing what happened and also hearing his interview in which he said that he went back a further two yards then I think it would be very poor if they were not to disqualify him.
