And why would that be in our interests? paying 10k of his wages.. whats the point? if you let him rot till January.. he might actually decide he wants to play and accept lower salaries to leave in January. or you could look at it as £10k off the wage bill and putting Ireland in the shop window so he's easier to get rid of. You could.. but those who could afford him dont want him. Clubs who do want him cant afford him. That wont change in January. He will love to go play games and still collect his wages. If he wants to stay at VP collect his wages.. when his contract runs out.. noone will touch him as he will have been in the wilderness too long. Big gamble. Also, the players we tend to be looking at these days are not "Box Office" names as such, although they one day maybe with the way Lambert is picking players. Yes, it has been another solid summer window getting Lambert's squad assembled especially doing our business early and getting players bedded in.
