danceoftheshamen Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I can't even bring myself to think about it yet with everything still up in the air. 1
Ghost Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 We were linked with Scott Sinclair from Man City a few weeks ago. He'd have to take a hefty wage drop to move to us I'd imagine, but he could do a job on the wing.
Delphouneso Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 (edited) Douglas Texeira, James Chester, Bolasie/Tom Ince, Serge Aurier and Luis Muriel..... Then I wake up... I'd like to see Chester and Aurier here. Toulouse have some great prospects, Aymen Abdennour would be a good shout, can play LB or CB, although I imagine there may be bigger clubs in for him. Saint-Ettiene's Kurt Zouma would be another one worth a look from Ligue 1. Also Sochaux's Yaya Banana, just because. Edited April 10, 2013 by Delphouneso
LockStockVilla Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Douglas Texeira, James Chester, Bolasie/Tom Ince, Serge Aurier and Luis Muriel..... Then I wake up... Tim Abraham had said in the January window that we were inquiring about Douglas, but for a possible Bosman this summer.
turnbull Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Yaya Banana, just because...... ..........he could play up front with Bent?
smetrov Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Rumour has it Dale Stephens is still in JulieB's basement. Burning an effigy of Darren Bent.Liam Trotter, Troy Deaney, Chris Eagles
NeilS Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 . Also Sochaux's Yaya Banana, just because. I thought you lot had finally lost it and were making names up, until I looked him up. What a fantastic name!
Adbo9 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 linked with flamini too. he's off contract apparently linked with flamini too. he's off contract apparently say that again ??!??!!
sne Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Linked with Phil Neville Somehow i just don't see that one happening...
limvillian Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Linked with Phil Neville Somehow i just don't see that one happening... I really hope not anyway, has been well past it for the last 2 seasons.
Zatman Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 He might be past it but he could be the experienced head needed around the club and is a great professional
limvillian Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 He might be past it but he could be the experienced head needed around the club and is a great professional No doubt about the fact we need experience and he has been a great pro but the last thing we need is a passenger on relatively high wages.
Zatman Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 thats true but at this stage of career I doubt Neville expecting a monster wage. maybe 20k a week 1 year deal
Eames Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 The Remy rumour is utter bollocks. Never going to happen. The best signings we could make this summer are Benteke and Weimann on much improved long term deals. 1
GarethRDR Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Only thing I can say with any certainty is one/some of our signings will be players we've never even heard of.
Stevo985 Posted April 10, 2013 VT Supporter Posted April 10, 2013 Phil Neville is exactly the kind of signing Lambert won't be making.
Condimentalist Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 (edited) With high profile tends to come high price tag. Of Lambert's signings last summer I'd only remotely heard of Bennett and Vlaar but couldn't have told you much about them. Gems like Westwood, Lowton and Benteke hadn't even registered. More of the same is fine by me as long as quality is the uppermost concern and value just below. Either way, names like Remy, Neville and Sinclair are not going to represent value - certainly not in wage terms - so won't be coming. Edited April 10, 2013 by PatrickCousens
Zatman Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Only thing I can say with any certainty is one/some of our signings will be players we've never even heard of. so their automatically shit
