Kwan
Looks like a 4-4-2? Bowery getting a run at his natural position
Villa87
Think we might be a bit exposed there. Edited April 6, 2013 by Villa87
Kwan
BANNAN IS NOT IN THE STARTING XI. Whew. Read the actual line up
Villa87
Bowrey??? Going for a bit of height I guess? Hope Lambert knows what he is doing. Think it is a case of attack attack attack! I guess you have to with our defensive frailties!
Farlz
Not sure on Bowery if I'm honest but other than that the lineup is pretty much what I expected
OutByEaster? Posted April 6, 2013 Moderator Share Posted April 6, 2013 Bowery, Agbonlahor, Weimann and Benteke?!?!?! I'm going for a 6-4 Villa win.
Swerbs
Maybe the plan is to try and outscore Stoke?

OutByEaster? Posted April 6, 2013 Moderator Share Posted April 6, 2013 Looks like a 4-4-2? Bowery getting a run at his natural position With Gabby and Weimann both playing as more genuine wingers than wide strikers? I'm not sure it works for me - it's a lot of movement to bring in Bowery. It should bring us a fair bit of excitement though!
AndyM3000
4-2-4 formation that is. No midfield at all for this game, mind you Stoke boot it over that so might make sense, lets hope Bowery and Weimann dont have to track back much because them on the wings doesn't bode well. LondonLax
I suppose Gabby and Bowery will be playing as wingers?
AstonMartin82
Gone for <2.5 goals at 8/13 lol - this bet is **** ... we are playing 4 strikers!
Tomaszk
That, Paul, is a lineup with balls. Hope you know what you're doing.
Guest av1
Maybe the plan is to try and outscore Stoke? As we cant seem to keep a clean sheet maybe thats a sensible plan.
PieFacE Posted April 6, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted April 6, 2013 Jesus christ. Hope i'm wrong but that just looks awful. Think it's going to be a game of long balls with no shape at all. Lambert better know what he's doing.
OutByEaster? Posted April 6, 2013 Moderator Share Posted April 6, 2013 Ha! So far we've had Gabby and Weimann the wingers, Bowery and Gabby the wingers and Bowery and Weimann the wingers - I hope Pulis is as confused as we are.
Tomaszk
I'd have started Zog up front over Bowery, he's looked so so poor ball at his feet. Runs around a lot though.
privateer
Well, from what I've seen from Bowery so far he is big, strong and not sluggish so I can see how he'd be seen as a good option for a horrible team like Stoke. I expect to see some physical prowess from him today. like Benteke's Mini Me.
Papillon
Bowery??? Come on! This is hardly the time to field an inexperienced, limited player who clearly are a few years from doing it at this level. And against Stoke as well, the fact that he is big doesn't mean he will do a job against these guys who eat most physical players for breakfast. Always nice to see Bannan and Holman out of the team though, means we actually have a chance of passing the ball to each other instead of to the other team.
