kurtsimonw
First time Messi's scored against an Italian side from open play. Think that'll do it though, Milan won't have the mental toughness for it. Too inexperienced at this level.

Brumerican
Messi doesn't score enough right footed overhead kicks from his own half to be considered truly world class. He is good but not as good as people make out.

kurtsimonw
Niang had the chance to win the tie and couldn't do it, Messi has the chance and does it. That's the difference. As I said before, just too inexperienced at this level, they don't have it in them mentally to overcome this.
AVFC_Hitz
Hamit Altintop just scored a tonker against Schalke. Not Messiesque. It stayed hit though.

maqroll
Barca are just relentless, no Milan player has more than 3 seconds on the ball. Pure ferocity from Barca, and with Messi, it's almost unfair.
The_Rev
Messi offside when he picked the ball up before scoring the second goal. Number of Milan players who appealed for offside?
OutByEaster? Posted March 12, 2013 Moderator Share Posted March 12, 2013 I'd like Milan to score - just so Barca have to get four.
Troglodyte Posted March 12, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted March 12, 2013 Barça have been truly back to their best tonight. Pressing fantastically in the earlier stages, which they haven't been doing as well for a while. They've really responded to the occasion. Xavi has been allowed the (very little) room he needs to play his game, and done very well. Iniesta has been as sublime as ever, and Messi is... well, Messi. Really looking forward to the second half, but it's still level and I wouldn't bet against Milan scoring. Could be a very tense end to the game. kurtsimonw
What's more impressive is that they've done it with 10 men. I've had as much influence on this game as Villa.
