The_Rev Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 When was in built? Victorian times? I'm assuming it's something to do with the nearby Shugborough Hall (Lord Lichfield's gaff). It opened in 1847 as far as I can tell and I would imagine it looks like that because of a demand made by Shugborough Hall in the terms and conditions of the railway being allowed to build on their land.
