no El Clasico is the most overhyped game in history and is always ruined by petulant diving and cheating by both sets of players, football is rarely the talking point. Its a vile poisonous football game

though has slightly improved this season since Guardiola left

There just aren't enough Triple Threat matches in the Championship these days.  I'm going Millwall Bristol City win by DQ following an illegal chair-shot by Watford.

The problem with Classicos is that they happen far too often. How many times have Real played Barca in the last three years?

this is 4th this season. id say since MOurinho took over they must have played at least 12 times.

If meet in Champions League will be 8 games this season alone

Ah, your old hint that Guardiola was somehow responsible for the bad blood.  We debated that in another thread, though.  Also ironic that Real haven't lost to Barcelona in this period of time in which the Clásico has supposedly 'improved'

And yes, there have been a lot of them recently, but that doesn't bother me.  It's Barça versus Real Madrid, a massive rivalry, and they're both incredible teams.  It's a damn sight better than watched Villa get repeatedly shat on, at least!

There have been several incidents recently, although as I've said before, Mourinho seemed to revel in it.  You can love or loathe him for that - he's a brilliant pantomime villain as well as an outstanding manager - but some of his actions undoubtedly went too far, such as poking Tito in the eye.  Lately, though, there hasn't been anywhere near as much diving/cheating.  I think it's a shame that such a big occasion is seen as diluted by so many just because it's been played more often over the past few years, and that others would prefer to concentrate on the negative incidents in some of these games rather than the glorious football we've witnessed at times in most of them.

Fair enough if you don't like it, everybody has their own opinions and reactions.  Me, I **** love El Clásico.
