There is absolutely no reason why a well run club cannot absorb multiple years of relegation.

Of course it can, but then it that is the case, the playing staff are probably so poor they will never really compete in the first place.

Which is what we all want.

Yeah but, we don't want that do we?

Is that not what they're doing now? I'm sure it makes good business sense... I don't want a profitable business. I want a football club.

I think as evidenced continuously by small clubs overachieving every year across European leagues (eg. Leicester this season), that that is not true.
