Seat68
What will change in this game? We will have the same squad, same tactics. I see a considerable win to Wigan. 3-0 to them.
Jimzk5
He got fined by lambert in pre season for using his phone in a team meeting, whether that's got anything to do with him only playing in the reserves i dunno, but he was on the bench for the spurs game. Ponky
Lowton is our only other CB option so maybe we'll see him move across with Herd to RB or Lichaj coming in instead. Would be happy seeing Herd beck in that DM position he was in last season, breaking down opposition attacks through the middle.
Richard
About a month ago I thought we would lose this, after the last two games a defeat is an obvious prediction. Draw
R.Bear
Even bigger than Reading this one. Not least for the 3 points but for the performance. Failure to win this and things get very ugly, very quickly. If ever we need a comfortable 3-0 victory its today. We dont want to be 0-0 or worse after 80 minutes like against Reading. Over to you Lambert.

Richard
Kone and Maloney to dominate the defence. 0-3 the idea of Maloney dominating any defence is a strange concept
Big_John_10
I thought the reading game was huge but this was is bigger. We really need to win this game. I think we'll struggle but we should be able to win or draw this game.
Pilchard
the idea of Maloney dominating any defence is a strange concept Certainly is but I remember him doing it at Chelsea away one year for us. And our defence is hardly that. It's a fancy dress disguise. They say they are a defence, but we all know they can't actually defend.
Jimzk5
We looked scared when any spurs player ran at us, expect kone and maloney to do the same and us to fall apart. I'm going again but can, at best only ses us scraping a draw. And that's if we score first.

BleedClaretAndBlue
Aston Villa reserves set for latest pounding im afraid. Gonna hurt even more when it comes at the hands of Wigan. At Villa Park. Pfffttttt
OutByEaster? Posted December 28, 2012 Moderator Share Posted December 28, 2012 So we'll be without fifteen first team players for this one? Ouch.
Ads
Need to win and will win. We've done well against mid-table sides or worse, but chronically against sides of genuine quality. If we are poor, then so are Wigan and our lack of quality will not be exposed by a side as equally devoid of it. A good Villa win.
PussEKatt
What is all this gloom and doom ? For crying out loud, we lost 8-0 to Chelski then we lost 0-4 to Spurs ........so that's a 50% improvement. So if we only lose to Wigan by 0-2 it shows that we are on the right track. Doesent it ?!
