A good performance but at the end of the day we let in 3 goals in the second half at home and lost after being 2-0 up meaning we get 0 points and we are being dragged ever closer to the relegation zone.

With Man City and Arsenal coming up we could find ourselves in the relegation zone and below Reading by the time we play them at the end of the month.

These are the facts and the only thing that matters.

Yep. The world is black and white. Either you win or you are shit. No middle at all in football.

How are they the only things that matter? If we had just rolled over like last season and accepted defeat before a ball had been kicked then yes that would be a very worrying sign and people would rightly be bringing that up. Why is it that when we put in a very good performance despite the result people just dismiss it as if it doesn't matter?

Why so serious? We played great for large parts of the game.

Fergie's winning run at Villa Park is going to end next time.

It hurts that we lost but we had a go it wasn't McLeish style damage limitation, we had a go at them Benteke was fantastic bullied the manu back four all afternoon. Weiman he could be a real find!

A big problem we have is we always loose the game when the subs come on. I think defending a free kick is a riddiculous time to send on fabian delph.

with reference to the petrov thing, i think they may have been singing during it, but not 100% sure

either way its being used as a stick to beat opposition fans with and should have been nipped in the bud at the end of last season as it was always going to go down this route

on another note, there were various chants during the minutes silence but in fairness that was latecomers who were still outside

with regard to the match, as soon as we went 2-0 up so early we were ****, so predictable

still a lot of positives to take from the game, in particular Benteke was unreal and if he carries on in the same manner as the last few weeks he will go in the summer let alone in 2/3 years time

I really like a good performance. However, at some point they need to start earning us some regular league points otherwise we will be in the shit. The history books record where you finished in the league not how many good performances you put in. Whether you agree or not these are the facts.

Do you not realise that the better you perform the more chance you have of winning? That's why the performance is important. Most people were predicting that we'd be turned over easily and lose 4 or 5 nil yet we narrowly lost 3-2 and put in a fantastic attacking performance. If we can do that against other teams then the results will come.
