Richard Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Last week was a great example for me. Liverpool were lauded for the "bravery" of playing youth payers and showing they have a "great future", by playing 2 or 3 in the team. Yet no one says anything about us.
briny_ear Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Stick to Stuart James in the Guardian. He seems to have very good links inside Villa Park, knows his club and players, and is very balanced in his judgements. Of course he is sometimes critical of the club. Who wouldn't be given our history of the past 3 years or so?
maqroll Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 As long as I've been following Villa (18 years) the club has gotten short shrift by media, pundits, oddsmakers, and football fans. Some of it deserved, much of it not. We're not a London club, we're not a Nouveau Riche club, we don't sign international superstars, and we've not won much of anything for a long time. But I'm fine with being underestimated, it will ultimately make our inevitable triumphs all the more satisfying!
villanmike Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I guess the problem is when a media company spouts shite about our beloved Villa it gets heard/seen by millions, even tho it could just be a bolloxed opinion!
