Liverpool were lauded for the "bravery" of playing youth payers and showing they have a "great future", by playing 2 or 3 in the team. Yet no one says anything about us. He seems to have very good links inside Villa Park, knows his club and players, and is very balanced in his judgements. Of course he is sometimes critical of the club. maqroll Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 As long as I've been following Villa (18 years) the club has gotten short shrift by media, pundits, oddsmakers, and football fans. Some of it deserved, much of it not. We're not a London club, we're not a Nouveau Riche club, we don't sign international superstars, and we've not won much of anything for a long time.
