chips'ngravy Posted October 16, 2019 Share Posted October 16, 2019 The focus of the protests was in the city centre last night. Lots of confrontations with the police, fires lit in the street. Pretty grim situation all round. A 22 year old lad lost an eye on Monday from what was allegedly a rubber bullet that the police were firing. This has yet to be confirmed but the Mossos (Catalan police) are not allowed to use them in protests. They were also filmed driving through a couple of people who were standing in the road trying to block their way. General stirke called for Friday so the situation is likely to continue like this for the foreseeable future. Rajoy's legacy will be to take a pacific region to the brink of a violent revolt.
