Pelle
Good draw. But we said that about bradford too. How far did we go last year? 1/8? 1/16?

VillaAlex
Brilliant news. A home draw was all that mattered. Certainly wanna get down to VP for this.

AVFCforever1991
Looking good for the future, just hope these lot are better than Bannan, Albrighton.. Doubt it, that was the best youth we've ever had imo Really? Wow.
AndyClarke
In terms of players to the first team then SGC is probably correct.
Pelle
I doubt that. And though I like both Albrighton and Bannan I think Gordon Cowans says hello.

Nobody said they were any good, just that several of that age group have progressed to play first team football.

Yeah, read that a little bit wrong, but in that case we still don't know how these kids will do in the future so it's impossible to compare with that kind of stats right now. And for SGC to say that's the best youth set up ever is more than likely wrong.
Djemba_Villan
If we were to get relegated, would we still be invited to this tournament? Would Randy fund us in it once finances are even tighter? I'd be absolutely gutted to see our academy fizzle out.
Nath182
I've got high hopes for Drennan. Same here, Drennan and Grealish seem to be the stand out players. Drennan is/was (I saw after the Ajax v Villa game) top goal scorer in the Next Gen tournament with 6 goals. Looking forward to this tie, I've no idea about Olympiacos or Anderlechts youth teams but I'd like to think we've got a good chance of progressing to the next round. Definitely getting down VP for this.

BOF Posted February 22, 2013 Moderator Share Posted February 22, 2013 I knew we'd beat Ajax. Their yoof academy isn't what it used to be. And now we're home. Semi-finals here we come.

Thought that last year, only to be undone despite being comfortably the better side, by an awful off side decision and being on the end of some disgusting gamesmanship and cheating from Marseille.
