Was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Pub near the stadium to have a drink before the game. Also, Im sitting near the Holte end in the trinity stand about half way up, is this a good spot? norton65ca Posted September 14, 2012 Share Posted September 14, 2012 I visited Birmingham for the first time last year, and saw my first game, there's plenty of pubs around but I went to the Adventurers, had a great time, nice ales on tap and five minutes walk from the ground. wedge Posted September 14, 2012 Share Posted September 14, 2012 Yes you'll have a great view of the game from where you're sitting. If you want atmosphere and a partisan Villa crowd then go to the Adventurers or the Aston Hotel or if it's good real ale you're after then go to the Barton Arms although it is slightly further away from the ground than the other two. itdoesntmatterwhatthissay Posted September 14, 2012 Share Posted September 14, 2012 The Aston Arena is close to the ground but doesn't have the loud atmosphere that other pubs may have...also doesn't huge queues at the bar.
