Nice tune.

My favourite is this nod from a library issue.

Not immediately obvious from the title or the intro. Stick with it for the ethereal ascension.

Nice!

Just chuckling to myself imaging the clothing the musicians would be wearing in the Jack Arel track. Distortion guitar and flutter-tongue flute = Heavy, heavy knit cardigans, flares and thick rimmed glasses :D

Just discovering this album, thanks to hearing sections of it on 6 Music's Freak Zone tonight. Right up my street! Can't believe I'd never heard it before.

Just been listening to this whilst spending time on turbo trainer (sort of static bike). It is slightly more mind numbing than watching Ant and Dec. Does this number count as Jazz ? NB Steve Gadd on drums !!!!

Yeah, I like a bit of Chuck Mangione, but that is a bit bland and MOR.

I went to school with Chris Bowden AND Alistair Robertson, both Jazz Saxophone players.  Must have been something in the Bournville water.

I knew Chris Bowden had had some success, I think mainly a few years ago now, but was suprised to find Alastair on a YouTube clip.  He didn't sound like that when I knew him mind.  Brummie traitor!

I was listening to the hour long Live in Japan version but posted the Newport one as it's more digestible and gets straight to the point. I think some of the live versions do have the melody from the 'when the dog bites' part in the piano, but not used as a bridge as such.
