Listening to Monk on the way home from the pub tonight. Man, that cat blows my mind! Brilliant Corners is easily my favourite Hard Bop album. This is coming from someone who referred to Jazz as musical masturbation a few years ago. Really turned around now though.

What kind of stuff are you liking other than Monk and Coltrane?

I listen to Sun Ra quite a bit, as well as Art Ensemble of Chicago, and Albert Ayler.  As per above I like Brazilian Bossa Jazz too.

Always open to suggestions, I'm pretty much entry level at the moment. I'll give anything a listen.

Airto's 'Seeds On The Ground' is one I've wanted for quite a while.

The release on One Way would be really nice.
