It's like an article of faith on Villa sites that Wigan will go on a strong run and that they will beat us on the final day of the season. Wigan are a latter day Coventry and they will get their comeuppance this season. I don't see why losing 2 games in a row and before that barely scraping a draw against 10 men QPR makes them so much more likely than us to stay up. Also, look at the team for the game against Wigan at Villa Park: 22 Guzan 06 Clark 27 Bennett 30 Lichaj (Albrighton - 64' ) 34 Lowton Booked 07 Ireland (El Ahmadi - 63' ) 25 Bannan Booked 31 Herd 14 Holman (Bowery - 63' ) 20 Benteke 26 Weimann Touch wood everyone remains fit, but you'd think we are very much a different prospect now to the team that played that day, which had been decimated by injuries. You do seem to lose your head quite easily CI. I think you're panicking a bit, I hope our players have better mental strength, eh Some positives: We are in better current form than Wigan and every one of the other teams, even the ones who won today. Avflife Posted April 20, 2013 Share Posted April 20, 2013 After looking at both Wigan and our fixtures until we play them at the DW on the final day of the season, think Wigan will get 4 points (beat Swansea, draw to Spurs and lose to both Baggies and Arsenal) and we will get 6 (beat Sunderland and Norwich and lose to Chelsea).
